hi guys, a proud owner of the N900 here too . I just overclock my N900 to 900Mhz . So far it's running good. Faster . Anyone else here tried overclocking their N900?

haven't really tested the battery life drain yet. i just left the phone with wifi connected when i sleep for about 6hrs. battery indicator still show full tho. u guys don't wanna try it? . but take note, some people say that after flashing the OC kernel, when u go to Settings, About, it will show Nokia N900 <unknown> version: <unknown>. i did the on device flashing method, my info still stays after flashing the OC kernel

the N900 feels faster, snappier than b4. maybe u can try OC to 800mhz or 825mhz . if u feel u need more, then jump to 900mhz . 1Ghz is too risky i guess but there's some dude who OC his N900 to 1700Ghz

i didn't install any of that in order to overclock. if u wan to try overclock, go see the link below. this is done on the phone, not thru the pc

u mean the overclocking app? from what i understand, there's no app yet to do so. u can download a new overclockable kernel in which u can adjust the speed to ur liking by editing some files though. either that or just flash the overclock kernel

nice . i'm running at 900mhz tho. i might go down to 825mhz but dunno how big is the difference between 800mhz & 900mhz

clocked down to 800mhz. just to be on the 'safe' side

no harm in trying. u have to try it to see/feel it urself. can owez go back to stock speed. i guess 800mhz is the sweetest spot

that i honestly not sure... maybe.. but what the heck . i'm happy with the extra power boost it gives. for me, i rather enjoy using it with maximized performance for maybe 2 or 3 years than enjoying it for 5 years or more with less performance . who knows maybe in 2 years time i'll be using a new phone oredy (changed to a new smartphone of coz)

it's fast, snappier, better . OC to 800mhz is the 'safest' i guess. altho 900mhz is pretty stable too
