u mean during booting into windows? or inside windows there s a permanent deal pixel there?

Guys, anyway to create backup disc without using DVD burner..

i am using W7 professional. my opinion is running ultimate is ok too.. juz dun let too much of background processes running.. esp intel and synaptics tray icon. i even remove the IDT audio icon from start up list.

btw. add me to the list. using hp mini from streamyx.

i'm not sure. since haven open n see inside. coz the cover is a bit tight.

yup. reformat. coz i wanna get rid of all the HP software. they are eating too much resources. only installed hp quicklauch buttons.

weikeat, did u enable aero and thumbnail? U refromat using thumb drive or External DVD drive?

i use 4g pendrive. cheap solution. no need buy ext drive. ya.. both. juz disabled tablet pc features.. not necessary for me

By the way, since the black colour edition was HP specially make for TM, i'm doubting the quality with other HP mini netbook.

So u din make a recovery disc lo? BTW, mind send me the link for installing windows 7 using pendrive-tutorial. I know I can search, but since you ahve successfully do it without any bug, ur solution should be best

i did not make any recovery disc. i juz copy the SWsetup folder in C drive to desktop and start 4matting. i aso dl some of them from HP website. most of them are drivers.

of course xp is much better in term of speed , but all depends on you, on what purpose u use netbook.

btw, i use windows 7 preinstall and i turn off all options that effect performances.

i reduce the memory usage down to below 500mb while normal usage ^.^
idle around 300mb ++
after i plug in a theme make it normally maintain nearly 500mb >.<'''
