There are easier ways to DOS** Maybank and LYN servers besides consuming a load of bandwidth. Last year, I reported a vulnerability to TM about their CBJ5 datacenter (which has been fixed now so don't bother). I took down RHB, mcds and tons of other local websites just by attacking their main router (which manages the VLANs) and I used what.. 2KB/s of bandwidth lol

yes, most of malaysia websites are vulnureable to attacks, there's lot of open holes. ddos just make the website down temporarily, but the best is to gain an access to their database which you can get anything.

Nah blush.gif I was just pentesting my own servers when I discovered the exploit on one of the routers in between. Like I said, most people won't use this method unless they're stupid. It's like taking a hammer to a server to DoS it.

It's good in situations where.. lets say there's a new botnet worm out and HSBB linked PCs are compromised.

I'd be more worried about the technology behind the HSBB however.. I don't even know what protocol they're using over the GPON fiber. It's probably encrypted since its a passive network and can be sniffed easily.

if there were good news on price reduction then our PM would have announced it last night to get more publicity
the only reason it was not reveal is simple - no price reduction for normal home users and he doesnt wanna get boo on the spot! sleep.gif

What's the use of broadband services that advertised but can't deliver.
Restricts bandwidth and throttle customers.
Even with 5 MBPS I don't think youtube, rapidshare or any downloads be any faster!

Not trying to defend TM, but comparing to Singapore is kinda moot as it's such a tiny nation that their infrastructure to provide Internet services can't be as many as Malaysia's. So I assume that's how they're able to provide such ridiculously cheap prices.

ok, let's compare it to US... no, they are advanced...
japan? no, they are advance oso...
korea? no, they are oso advance...

ahhh....

let's compare to zimbabwe!!! WE WIN WE WIN!!!!!!!

good one, s. korea just get its independence for 30 years, still can get negara maju. we already merdeka for 50 years, still not maju. because they want to dig money not giving the best service.
