why our neighbour still can provide cheaper bandwidth ?

TM got too many staff and management is overpaid for appointing expensive Consultants to do the work and Alibaba contractors

oh, and also pay MU salaries.

Because in lionpura, all the invested money goes to the proper places. In Malaysia, the invested money goes to Football Clubs. Thats why TM can't afford to buy more bandwidth

No.

20% actual products
30% contractors
30% guy who signed the contract
10% suckup money to other politicians in federal govt

In a way, I agree with the cap. Price though might not be affordable to most people here, but ain't complaining. WHat you don't use, other people will still use. Not everyone surfs Lowyat.Net

Since so many people are boycotting due to the cap, what happens if they implement caps for Streamyx as well?

Its not like there's an alternative fixed line that can cover Malaysia.

Seriously, the 5Mbps business package without caps at RM199 sounds a lot better than 10Mbps with 80GB cap at the same price.

I think the Rm149 is reasonable price because its inclusive IPTV + Internet + Phone.

can u get bill for Astro + Broadband + Phone usage = Rm150 elsewhere? absolutely not! so HSBB is really cheap actually.

plus, it offer better speed.

same here, no issue with the cap - but on the pricing and stability
if the speed is good enough and the line is stable then why bother to use BT anyway, use http . anyhow it's still IF

IPTV useless = ="

check your bill you call local landline more or mobile number more

150 cheap?

faster speed = faster u reach ur cap (low cap)...

the faster u reach ur cap the faster u drop down to lower speed = EXPENSIVE

Last night I ask one of people from TM about contention ratio on HSBB. He cannot answer my question.

P1 use 3 to 1 in their network.

Shows on Astro keeps on repeating.
If you went to the launch and try the IPTV, its rather no interesting. Currently only 2 HD channels, 1 is Luxe TV another is Fashion TV. Channels that nobody bothers to watch. If I want to watch something, I'd rather go to Teluk Lanun

Probably cheaper to obtain. Phone? It's currently a Rm10 add-on for the blockbuster deal, so thats how much it cost.

It's current 1:25 for streamyx. They gonna probably keep the same ratio.
3 to 1? Sounds like bull to me

If 1:25 useless launch HSBB. Should have big bandwidth because it use high speed.

If 10Mbps for 25 house and each house use 1Mbps, is it enough?

yes... it won't be slow all the time, after i sat in front of my pc for roughly 30 minutes - 1 hour and flood TMNut port with connection requests just to get the decent ip range that made latency stay at 700ms constant.

kindly tell us, hows the lag when you tried to connect to US. 500ms? 700ms? i'm having average of 1000ms when i'm playing without checking my ip range.

why don't TMNut just blaady solve the blaady latency/ bandwith transfer bottleneck thing by joining the thai+sg plan to create a fork shape cable instead of a 'Y' shaped cable?
*
I can't remember the exact figure but its no where close to 500ms. I never checked because I never had issues gaming online from home.

I would hope all the big telcos should get their act together not just TM. I have tried, TM, Maxis, Celcom and I know too many ppl who used P1. All of these providers have issues and in the wild west, these Telcos would have been out of business 10 years ago.

I am hoping that technologies like the one below together with faster global links will help but I wont hold my breath. Cause new tech costs money and yes we all know where money goes to around here.
