I think the Rm149 is reasonable price because its inclusive IPTV + Internet + Phone.

can u get bill for Astro + Broadband + Phone usage = Rm150 elsewhere? absolutely not! so HSBB is really cheap actually.

plus, it offer better speed.
*

after you get the 'better speed'...

1. get World of Warcraft/ War Hammer/ Aion/
2. connect to Oceanic server
3. look at the latency
4. pick up the phone
5. yell at helpdesk for their boss's incompetence

speed is *not* a concern for some of the peeps here, what is the use of fast speed when it can't even pull itself together?

you're just another download fag

With ASTRO, you get far more channels, also IPTV currently offering doesnt seems to be good.

Rather they forgo the IPTV(unless they get more channels in it) and give us a cheaper package. It's currently high priced. No point converting to other currency and comparing with neighbours, they earn SGD and we earn RM (pay SGD1xx for highest package and earning SDG2500 ratio with paying RM249 for the highest package and earning RM2500)

dump the stupid day to day cap too. It's crappy when you got files that above the limit but still got capped although monthly cap haven't been reached yet. Monthly cap should be ok. Ppl will learn to manage their downloads by themselves eventually.

Doubt TM will increase their bandwidth just to cater for heavy downloaders so for now cap should do the job to discouraging ppl from downloading indiscriminately (download blue ray watch once and delete, then download the same thing again when want to watch thingy concept)

Foremost FIX the routing, it is so crappy as it is, connecting to international servers is so lousy with high latency +packet loss.

The reason why I'd prefer the RM199 5Mbps unlimited business package over the Streamyx 4Mbps package is because it uses fibre.

I can't remember the exact figure but its no where close to 500ms. I never checked because I never had issues gaming online from home.

I would hope all the big telcos should get their act together not just TM. I have tried, TM, Maxis, Celcom and I know too many ppl who used P1. All of these providers have issues and in the wild west, these Telcos would have been out of business 10 years ago.

I am hoping that technologies like the one below together with faster global links will help but I wont hold my breath. Cause new tech costs money and yes we all know where money goes to around here.

new tech cost $$? owh, sh!t!!! Jaring must be an idiot when they brought in 1mbps while Telekom Malaysia (before privatize) still using dial ups, it cost...

wait... the price then was actually quite ok wat... seeing Time was competing for the same thing...

thx mamak naynyok, for the privatization + monopoly...

If 1:25 useless launch HSBB. Should have big bandwidth because it use high speed.

If 10Mbps for 25 house and each house use 1Mbps, is it enough?
*
Hence it explains the unreasonable cap
60GB each house.
So 25 x 60GB = 1500GB

For a fully 'utilized' 5Mbps
5*3600*24*30 ~ 1200GB

Technically, 1:25 is barely enough to cover.

In the case of WoW, for once it's the servers that suck. Don't expect it to be much better with unifi or hsbb or whatever they've decided to rename it now.

Jesus, such a long hype leads to such disappointment.

damn stupid, many time even youtube streaming can hang on 2mb line rclxub.gif

this is all problem with latency, online game and streaming share the same problem. streamyx latency at time are off the chart.

Sad, I live in TTDI so my condo is covered by Unifi or whatever, but it won't be available on Monday 29th March which is when the first HSBB Unifi installations will take place for people who have registered.

I'll have to wait 2 weeks. Lame.
