Hey guys, I got my Vostro 3500 yesterday and just wondering why the packaging slip does not include some sort warranty statement?

I mean how do i use the warranty in the future if there is no proper documentation? I checked on the website and my warranty is there.

ur service tag = ur warranty slip, i guess. Dell is using high technology (Internet) and it's also a notebook which u buy via Dell Online Purchase, not anymore like buy a refrigerator from shopping complex and get a warranty slip.

@valppy: beware of your gc life time...never play with the fire if you love you lappy, unless you have extra budget to get a new one. So far until today, i never play any hardcore games on this lappy, but just some light games.

HI,

I just got my 3700 on friday!

Love it!!

BUT

what is with the high pitched noise from top left side? seems to be the hard drive?? and the hard drive device status light is always flickering. is that normal???

the hard drive seems to make a crunching noise too. Geez is this all in my mind? I ran disk check and it found no errors on the hd fwiw.

This my first laptop so maybe I'm not used to sounds?

any ideas

OK thanks.I stuck a piece of black tape over it. Can't imagine looking at that flickering light all day.
