can anyone tell me if it's possible to Extend my display on the Left side instead of Right side (on Windows 7)

this is b'coz Vostro 3700's VGA port is on the left side on this laptop, and find it very difficult each time i want to plug my LCD cable

Anyone have Window 7 Home Premium 64 bit DELL OEM installer DVD? I just get my Vostro 3700 with 4GB RAM and W7 Home Premium 32 bit, only 3GB RAM are usable and another 1GB wasted. So I wanna re-install W7 Home Premium 64 bit and use my current 32 bit product key. I contacted Dell sales already but he said Dell wont give this installer DVD separately. Any solution? Plz help...

In Control Panel, click 'Adjust screen resolution'. From there, you can drag your monitor around.

I noticed that the product process tracking thingy isn't really efficient. Mines was still on second/third phase when I received my laptop. And I doubt changing the color to red would affect your order process. Mine is red too, yet I received it within two weeks after ordering. thumbup.gif

Hope this'll clear some of your anxiousness. tongue.gif

initially there was , the red/bronze lid took longer(they even pre publised it @ dell's site) . mine took 3weeks. i think u were lucky to make the cut before the hardware shortages

will this broke the waranty from dell?

Warranty mostly covers the hardware components. For Windows 7, the agreement is between you and Microsoft (if you use genuine one). So generally Dell won't care what OS you use. I can buy this laptop and wipe out Windows 7, install Ubuntu into it. Yet if the hardware fails, Dell still gonna repair it.

i try to ask Dell agent be4
they say window 7 cannot wipe 1 = =
only can upgrade
so we have to at least take home basic

yeah. they said its a prefixed configuration of some sort though Ubuntu is expected to make the list soon. i tried to ask if i could get one without any OS whatsoever because i already have one, they initially said possible but the sales team said kenot. i guess they have some sort of contract with Microsoft to sell a certain amount of OEM Windows' before they can sell without...?

i got mine less than one week. i paid mine online, but i din get any confirmation email from them, so i was pissed off and called them asking for a cancellation in order. then they said i cant cancel my order cuz it's already in build, and the lappy will be at my door step 3 days later. well, 3 days later after the call, i got my lappy. overall less than 1 week @.@
