Argh, and only NOW they make the backlit keyboard option available! :'(

For those who worry about the screen resolution: I think it exceeds my expectations, watching movies is great with it, especially in HD quality.

Gaming wise its sufficient for its price. Want better, cough up cash for something suited for gaming. I've gamed for about two hours or so at max and the heat was bearable. Past experiences I've had cases where overheating would reboot the laptop. So far I've faced none. ^^

I've come to accept the speakers as well because I tweaked the bass where the default was set on no bass. I haven't been using a laptop for awhile so I was always used to desktop speakers with sub-woofers, but compared to other laptops with high volume its quite outstanding.

Its been about a month or so and I'm still hyped about my laptop.

About mobility, I don't mind its size because with the performance its packed with is worth bringing around when needed.

Color wise, from what I saw in earlier videos of Dell Vostro 3700, bronze is quite sleek. It looks simple, professional yet stylish, but I'm loving my red Dell Vostro 3700.

Have you guys tried out the voice command option? I think its really cool. I recommend trying it out if you've got extra time! Boss your computer around by talking to it. Hehehe.

opps..... my pc problem, i cannot scroll down the review until i get to see Backlit keyboard. after 2 of u has prove it then i go search again and i drag select and copy then paste in MS word and really included Backlit keyboard. hehe.....

Added on April 25, 2010, 8:58 ami still have a year to pawn it. hehe..... now this is the best notebook i wanna get, unfortunately i dun need a notebook now. wait until next year May then i will buy this notebook if ther are no others notebook replace it. haha..... so far i hope Dell launched more model with good performance, thin and light weight like Acer then it is perfect. haha..... i no need carry this heavy stuff Vostro 3700 (2.7kg) here and there. btw if others brand really come out with i5 / i7 processor + 5650, i think i will stilll get this becoz good performance and good services + numeric pad + anti-glared with large screen (i never see ppl use 17" laptop before, i'm the ONE ). i'm not saying others brand services not good, juz not good as Dell.

I'm Sabahan and I will fly to KL in May to continue my study.

I'm lazy to explain why I can't buy in Sabah. Btw, the expired date offer for Vostro 3700 is 29th April 2010.

What would the price without the offer ? Where can I buy this laptop in KL instead order from Dell ?

Last time it offered RM650 redemption and when it reached the expire date, it re-offered again the cash redemption....
Without the offer, just add RM650 to the price offered by now...

That's mean it will re-offer after 29th April ? I hope so...

Can I know what's the main reason why no any shop selling Vostro 3700 ? ( in stok )

The beauty of Dell is that you can customize the laptop according to your taste ..one of the reason why buying online is preferable ...the main reason why got no in stock for Vostro 3700 is that, the shop might have thought that the already built one 3700 won't be as much as a seller than buying online ...

Well, Vosto is mostly for small business or corporate, which company usually buy them in bulk, order from Dell directly, while the customer usually looking for inspiron/xps studio series, so more stock would go to inspiron/xps studio, just my opinion....

About will re-offer or not, I can't guarantee...

hmmm do u have any frenz or relative staying at KL, if u trusted them u may ask them give u their address, when u order the notebook then u paste the address there. so Dell will direct send the notebook or ur frenz or relative house. after that when u arrive to KL then u can go get it from ur frenz or relative. that's the best way if u GOT frenz / relative.
if u dun have any, then u have no choices. btw u coming KL for ur studies and May Semester juz around the corner. why don't u come to KL now and order it? if u come earlier to KL, u get ur house address earlier and u can order it asap. now already 25th April, if u wan order Vostro 3700 with Cash Redemption offer then i think u gonna flight to KL before 28th, and use 28th a day find ur place and order it asap. so if i'm not mistaken, u can get it done before 29th or on that day which the offer still available.

Ya, I think before. I have friends and relative there, but the biggest problem is, if I buy now, I scared my mom will know I used RM3K to get a laptop.( I promise her not use more then Rm2.5K).

That's why I must buy in KL. BUT, again, the problem is my flight is on 6th May.

kakakak, then have another way which is u bank in 3k to ur frenz / relative bank acc asap, then ask ur frenz / relative buy for u. /gg hmmm this way canot be happen if ur mum lend u her credit card to buy the notebook.
IF you going to use ur mum credit cards to buy that notebook, then all the ideas i listed to u = useless. IF there is not using ur mum credit cards, then there are always some ways to get it.

I will use my Visa to buy it but I scare my mom will check my account money and realize " Why the money that i gave you so fast finish ! ". Ya, Get boomed.

wat's the problem now since u got VISA urself? direct order it and send to ur relative / frenz house, and i wanna tell u is u can't hide this truth forever if u REALLY going to buy it. u can't cover the fire with paper. if u wan the offer now then better grab it before it's too late for u and u regret, or else u juz wait this offer finished then get a new offer or NO OFFER.

Today is 25th April. still have 4 days to consider. Should I try my luck to wait for better offer after the expired date ? ( possible ? )

WHY my toucpad when i press fn+f6 can't be off edi...got anyway i can off it....teach me

Today when i start my pc, i found out tat all of my icon become so BIG..
Even the toolbar, tools, broswer all had become bigger than usual.
i had check on the screen resolution and the size of icon.
But it show as normal, 1600 x 900..
can teach me how to solve the problem?
