actually it is worth to upgrade the warranty, just in case, who knows you spoit it during the warranty period and you can get repair for free. And about the ram, its all up to you. If you were gamer, sure you want to have larger ram for smoother gameplay. But for me, I prefer 3G of ram as i not hardcore gamer smile.gif

It's worth to get this laptop if you really like the big screen and dell brand notebooks.

actually i feel 3GB is already enough for me (not really a gamer, juz play games when i free and not everyday), is it really needed to get 4GB instead of 3 for all gamers? hmmmm i was thinking that when we really playing games, does the game usage till 2GB that much? btw, thx all ur information, i know wat should i do to the warranty. hehe... rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

not sure..can't help u on that. but one thing..it's definitely not the worst screen ive known

17.3" @1600x900 is considered good, higher than conventional 15.6" @ 1366x768. simple calculation will tell u the vostro has higher density pixel / sq inch

i owned a 15.6" @ 1366x768, n boy trust me..it's grainy n smudgy especially when viewing pics

ok then..i cant comment on that...

it's relatively speaking, to me, it looks better than my previous asus k50ab. not to mention, the anti glare , makes it semi glossy matte..which i like and find it useful on sunny days..

off course, don compare la with overly expensive lappies that hav better screens.

i have to admit that i not quite satisfy with the standard resolution for 15.6 inch laptop. Why? kucingfight already explained one of the reasons. But overall its still nice to get a 15.6 laptop if you prefer a smaller desktop replacement laptop.

And about the screen quality. I can ensure you that I very happy that i owned this laptop. Screen quality is never a problem for me whether im watching movies (up to 720HD), playing games (dota lol), or doing routine tasks (microsoft office, browsers). It's all more than a standard laptop i can have.

p/s: no offense to other laptop owners, as this is just my own pov. smile.gif
p/s2: the only things i wish to have is to upgrade cpu into i7 + backlit keyboard tongue.gif

1. Well, if you use HTT powered apps & also need some power raw processing then i7 would be nice but for gaming, i5 is the best for now nod.gif

2. i7 model comes with Backlit Keyboard nod.gif..already stated in the Also Include section

3. Varies on user/person...some like red while some like silver..which is which really depends on you, i say red is nice but for you, might be or might not be nod.gif

that's the point, in previous Dell web site. it really shown with the Backlit Keyboard, but now after u finished customize and review ur product. it is not shown in the Also include section, it's gone. so i think u gonna call them and ask for sure.
