Malaysian selling price of the 3DS will definitely >1k. Original DS phat was going for RM850 when it launched and that was one of the lower prices around with many other places quoting RM900 and above. It's crazy the kind of markup that gets placed on Nintendo products sold in Malaysia. You only have to look at PSP vs DS and PS3 vs Wii to see what I mean.

Anyway, at least now I'm in Europe so I get the benefit of a nice USD exchange rate :-) And cheaper postage, muah ha ha. Can buy, send to my sis, and get my sis to send to me. Now to save £1 a day for it coz there's no way I'm going to buy an overpriced EU version of the 3DS.

Still...next year!

augment card in augmented reality environment has been around for some timela bro...one example is the card game on the ps3 and oso the optimus prime 3d model on the transformers disc cover.

one thing i'm sure is..augment card can be a great copy protection for a game...u know, for example, u must flash a certain card and dp something to the object u found on the card before u can proceed in a game..without it, u're practically stuck. Cheaper than those dongle thingy etc.

if u're interested in the technology, u can search ARToolkit on youtube and u can do it on your own.

i heard rumors that the price of 3DS game are about the same as DS,but...we can never be too sure.
