Yeah I gree. I was watching "Wonders of the Solar System" yesterday. The signal was 1080i/60Hz. The panning scenes was so nauseosus that t I wanted to puke.

seems to be a major flaw, anyone complain to panasonic and asking for their money back?

it should be the disc/source problem instead of V20 and moreover ,astro is always on 1080i 50 hz

Source:  1080/50i
Output:  1080/50p
TV input: 1080/50p

and NOT 1080/60i 

Yes, I'm using the V20 with IFC turned on. I watched again the Wonders BD and have noted the following timing:

  23:55 Cliff greenery scene
  51:52 Wood panels on the right scene
1:01:37 Mosque columns scene
1:02:33 Earth scene
1:36:38 Continetal divide scene

Pls take a look at the stated times and observe whether it is agreeable to you. My head spins when I look at them

1080i/50 will have problems. I cannot recall how I reduced the errors. However, it will be there. It will seem like some tearing or juddering at the edges of objects and this is inherent in the V and VT series when it handles 50Hz stuff.

went to hunt for my new TV.  Saw a 46" at senq for 2799 which i think is a good deal.  now, i am in a dilemma.  Apparently, u can get the 50" for 3400 according to one forummer.

I saw this 46" A66 LCD discontinued Sharp model selling for 3550, and the toshiba regza model also 46" for 3950(200hz), so, which one do u think is a better buy?

Quite disappointing with 50v20, has quite a bit of tearing and juddering when watching bluray materials.
Any sifu can offer any solutions?

Ensure u r sending a 24p signal from ur bd player. While playing a 24p signal go into other settings on display and turn off 24p cinema smooth.

No THX for asian sets but the pro modes are pretty good. Colour accuracy is the good compared to all previous gens. Only problem is 50Hz material handling. 24p is not a problem.

hmm....this astro byond 50hz problem only happens to V series? what about U series and X?

hi guys, gonna pick up a panny TH-50U20k this weekend for my dad... melaka really sucks.. lack of higher end tv choices thus can't let him view the set.. I've only briefly seen the set myself and would like to ask the sifus here how is the tv? price i'm offered is RM 5880 (from melaka shop. They'll order, and ship the tv to my dad's house). I know i can get cheaper here from forumer but after taking into account of the hassle of the after sales service from melaka, i think it's better to get it there.

Any recommended blueray + audio system set that u guys can recommend within a 800-1k budget?
