Yeah, i also want to know how. Every time i played 24p material, the TV showed 1080p/24hz. Is this optimal ?
From PS3 right ? How about you disable the 24Hz within PS3 ? Panasonic Viera TV Fan Club V.1, Plasma, LCD & LED models.

Seems P50V20K not really good on handling Astro Byond signal 1080i/50Hz especially on HD content e.g soccer movement as compares to 1080i/60Hz HD content from upscale DVD or Blu-ray concert disc

QUOTE(allycat @ Sep 27 2010, 08:53 AM) Yeah I gree. I was watching "Wonders of the Solar System" yesterday. The signal was 1080i/60Hz. The panning scenes was so nauseosus that t I wanted to puke. LED D Series seems may not suffered as serious as in this V Series. I've a 37" LZ Series which somehow slightly better in handling this. Just wonder VT50 also having the same problem ?? QUOTE(sunnyK @ Sep 27 2010, 04:38 PM) As I've mentioned before, my 37" Panasonic LCD LZ Series also suffering less significant effects (but still can be observed) on this problem when handling 1080i/50Hz Astro signal, not sure about other brand This post has been edited by SteadyPana: Sep 27 2010, 05:08 PM |

QUOTE(allycat @ Sep 30 2010, 09:08 AM) Sorry, I posted the wrong info display output. The correct info should be: The naming convention should be 1080[i/p]/50 or 60Hz Source: 1080/50i Output: 1080/50p TV input: 1080/50p and NOT 1080/60i Yes, I'm using the V20 with IFC turned on. I watched again the Wonders BD and have noted the following timing: 23:55 Cliff greenery scene 51:52 Wood panels on the right scene 1:01:37 Mosque columns scene 1:02:33 Earth scene 1:36:38 Continetal divide scene Pls take a look at the stated times and observe whether it is agreeable to you. My head spins when I look at them |

I cannot recall how I reduced the errors. However, it will be there. It will seem like some tearing or juddering at the edges of objects and this is inherent in the V and VT series when it handles 50Hz stuff. which heavily impacted the fun of watching Asto HD Content This post has been edited by SteadyPana: Sep 30 2010, 02:23 PM |

QUOTE(fenture @ Sep 30 2010, 07:35 PM) went to hunt for my new TV. Saw a 46" at senq for 2799 which i think is a good deal. now, i am in a dilemma. Apparently, u can get the 50" for 3400 according to one forummer. Oh dear, we're talking about Plasma here not LCD and other than ideas for lifeâ„¢ brand I saw this 46" A66 LCD discontinued Sharp model selling for 3550, and the toshiba regza model also 46" for 3950(200hz), so, which one do u think is a better buy? |

QUOTE(chchch @ Oct 4 2010, 10:58 PM) Quite disappointing with 50v20, has quite a bit of tearing and juddering when watching bluray materials. 1080p/24hz and 1080i/60Hz Source seems OK. It will only suffered the problem when your source having 1080i/50Hz eg. Astro Byond HD in fast moving scenes or some blu-ray source Any sifu can offer any solutions? thx This post has been edited by SteadyPana: Oct 5 2010, 12:05 AM |

QUOTE(raist86 @ Oct 7 2010, 02:02 PM) hi guys, gonna pick up a panny TH-50U20k this weekend for my dad... melaka really sucks.. lack of higher end tv choices thus can't let him view the set.. I've only briefly seen the set myself and would like to ask the sifus here how is the tv? price i'm offered is RM 5880 (from melaka shop. They'll order, and ship the tv to my dad's house). I know i can get cheaper here from forumer but after taking into account of the hassle of the after sales service from melaka, i think it's better to get it there. With this price tag - you can get P50V20 though and why U Series ???Any recommended blueray + audio system set that u guys can recommend within a 800-1k budget? |
