Me 2 can't find such function in my V20 either.  Any Sifu can guide ??

Its motion interpolation (in my opinion done wrongly) and its supposed to improve motion handling. I am unsure if it is available on the U series, I doubt it, check yr set and see if its there.

24p is to handle 24p material. Again, its motion interpolation instead of a direct pulldown (3:3 or 4:4). I am quite sure that the U does not have this and refreshes at 60Hz with 3:2 pulldown.

I emailed Panasonic and their engineer is coming to check my V20 this Sat.

I think that those of you who are having motion blur, judder, artefact problems should email Panasonic. In this way, we can get better response and solution from them.

If most of just keep quiet and just complain in the forum, I doubt Panasoic will take us seriously.

Received my 50V20K last week finally. Got a question. Anyone encounter any problems getting subtitles to play from portable HD connected to the tv's USB port? Movie played fine except I couldnt make the subs appear. All my subs are either .srt or .txt which according to the manual should work ok. Any advice?

Just an update on the defects I've seen on my V20. The engineer came and saw what I meant. He needs to report to his professional member for further resolution, and will contact me again.

I'll post further updates after their professional feedback.

But seriously, doesn't anybody else seeing what I've been seeing on  y V20 ie. motion blurring, judderring etc?

I notice some but not so much in DVD. Compating DVD and BD sources, the defect is more noticeble for BDs.

Yes, it's original, bought from Amazon UK.

As for other BD player, have to look around but I don't think it's the problem. I don't see these defects when I use my Pioner with my old LG plasma.

I also hope more M'sian V20 users, who are having these problems, will report to Panasonic Malaysia so that we can get better response from them. Please don't settle for a product that is not living up to its claimed performance or having noticeable defects.

Yes, my BD player supports all the full HD features incl 24p.

Going to get a second set of eyes to evaluate the V20 picture quality. Just in case my eyes are playing tricks on me

Panasonic engineer just came to pick-up our 2-month old V20K. only 20+ hours of usage

he claimed that ours is the first V20K to have a vertical line (top to bottom) appearing. is this line due to dead pixel?

we also complain about 24p judder and buzzing sound from our unit to him.

hope we can get it back early next week.

Why until today nobody getting Panasonic largest Plasma? 

If money is just a figure for you or you don't mind to pay extra, try to get Panasonic Plasma 150". 


Compared to 103", now you know the different.

1 plus point for this 150" Plasma, the resolution is 4k x 2k.  You are right, it is 4 times the 1080i/p. 

What I can gather from AV forums is that the 600Hz has nothing to do with motion interpolation. It doesn't help at all to improve motion blur etc.

From the Panasonic site, it will be on if you use the Cinema mode.

I have no problems playing my Canon's video camera SD card with V20K's SD slot directly.

Folder structure:

What type of SD card do you have?

I've tried 32GB SDHC Class 4 (Sandisk Ultra 2), 8GB SDHC Class 4 (Toshiba), 2GB SD Class 2 (Kingston). All can be recognised correctly.

Also, what happens when you insert the SD card into the V20K? Mine actually displays the thumbnails of the videos or photos, depending on the contents.

Not sure. Do you have another SD card you can try? Maybe one without using adapter?

Hmm. JPG photos are working. That means the problem is with AVCHD files.

What is the source of your AVCHD files? Please run "Media Info" on your files and share them here ...
