i am not a gaming guy hence i only played jurassic park, the q is long so it is 45min q + 10-15min ride.

however many good shows to recommend:-

Monster Rock™ at Pantages Hollywood Theatre™ -> nice pop musical show
Lights, Camera, Action!™ Hosted by Steven Spielberg -> eyes opener on how a movie is made
WaterWorld™ -> entertaining and fun
Shrek 4-D Adventure -> i like 4d movie
STREET ENTERTAINMENT -> lovely oldies/ hip hop dancing depends on which streets u r

for me about 6 hours there

** also got fireworks On Saturdays and selected holidays

I think if the main reason for your trip to SG is USS, but at the same time you prefer to stay near the CBD, then pick one of the hotels that have free shuttle to RWS.
http://www.rwsentosa.com/Portals/0/RWS%20R...MarinaRoute.pdf

one of the cheapest hotels is carlton, around 200SGD ish per night. if you bringing your waifu along then prolly she might want to explore the shopping districts, so yeah. smile.gif sentosa is really isolated.

I stayed in Festive hotel last year at the family room. Nice room, but it's a big very impersonal hotel. Not exactly my liking but it's very convenient obviously. It's probably one of the cheaper hotels in Sentosa too.

About your coaster question, USS has Battlestar Galactica which is one of the best roller coasters around particularly Cylon but it's been closed for 6 months already. Next best is the Mummy ride which isn't technically a coaster but lots of fun anyway.

It's in Sentosa, so it's close to everything in Sentosa obviously. Vivo City Mall is just 1-2 stations away on the monorail, everything else you either drive out or better still take the MRT.

My family will be heading to Universal Studio this Dec (4D3N) during the school holiday, staying at Festive hotel. Appreciate help from you guys.

AA From Changi Airport to US, for a family of 5 (3 adults and 2 kids), how much is the taxi fare?

BB Top 5 must go sites at the US.

CC Your 2 must do things at the US.

DD Your 2 must not do things at the US.

EE Plan to visit another park after the US. Plan is the space/science park. Recommended?

FF Any other important/useful things for us to get the maximum out of this trip.

Many thanks.

Came back from Universal Studio Spore after 4 days in Spore.

Overall, a 4 out of 10 from me.

Fun/thrill
* the first few ones were thrilling e.g. Transformer. Later, the others got a bit monotonous.
* express tickets helped us a lot, cutting the queue time from hours to a few mins.
* ??

Value for money
* expensive with our ringgit for food, hotel, etc
* worth to go to the area around UStudio (beaches etc), they have entertaining programs at certain time.
* sweat smelly hotel room

Service
* taxi is a lot better than ours in M'sia. Metered. Friendly driver. Safe driver.
* slow and poor service at Papamia Cafe (Festive hotel) especially when I was paying 2.6 times more than in M'sia!
* clean place with no littering

Don't think I will be going back there. They have a slogan there, ONCE IS NEVER ENOUGH. For me, ONCE IS ENOUGH! Sorry, UStudio.

Cheerio.

The Transformers ride is a must and the Eqyptian coaster my friend ride it but not me. They said they will go again and again just for that ride alone, so it must be pretty good. For really young kids, i recommend the Sesame Street Live Show and also the Shrek 4D.

Have you considered Legoland?
Though the rides aren't as thrilling as USS, the theme park is generally a very nice play for a family, especially if you have young kids. I'd say its a cross between Disneyland and USS.

Sorry to say that Legoland is at the bottom of my list. M'sian not helping M'sian company? Ha.

Why? I don't really know. I guess the quality and range will be very limited at Legoland. I may be wrong.

But will keep that in mind for my next family holiday.

Thanks.
