Yes I am using Plasma for both tv and gaming. It is serving me well, nice and sharp visual quality and not too bright (LED and whatnot, for me, a bit too bright).

Nice black level plasma the 'movement' or refresh rate is natural, unlike the 200 Hz like other tv (faster but not natural looking for me). Mine is the previous

version of Pana plasma. For me, it is one great tv. Just that, like any other plasma brands, plasma technology has its cons. Particularly, the 'image retention'. You

just need to be disciplined to 'wash' the tv after using it. That's all. Other than that, it is all depends on one's eyes and aesthetic preferences. icon_rolleyes.gif

Just go to the Panasonic Plasma TV thread in this forum here (if you buy Pana brand that is, one of the best for Plasma TV). You can learn how to use and prolong

the life of your tv. icon_rolleyes.gif

dear all sifus,
i'm afraid if i got into a wrong thread but seems everyone here talking bout getting monitor/lcd as our gaming screen, so i need an advice.

i plan to get a samsung LCD TV Full HD 32' (Serie 4) for my PC and PS3.
As for PC, can anyone advice me what's the minimum spec for the GC should I get in order to maximise the LCD quality?

I think 1G Ram and DDR5 for the GC should be enough.any recommandation? ATI/Nvidia?

If have demo display, see on your own. What's on paper doesnt really reflect what you see in real. But usually SONY ones are good. Not for me though. tongue.gif

From what I heard, 200Mhz is a little bit too "fast" for some PS3 games. 100Mhz is the best. My friend at Sony ran a test, seems 200Mhz didnt cause much of an issue.

i just had this experience with my new tv. my gt5 ran on 1080 while my fifa only ran on 720. urmm i think the gt is significantly clearer, but it goes out of bounds of the screen by abit. not sure its my tv or anything to do with the pixel rate.

either way, just found out today with Hd and Full HD is a big big difference. darn! shud have topped up abit more to get the Full HD. cos after playing the ps3 on a Full HD tv, now the HD one i got for my room, just doesnt feel as interesting to look at. cry.gif
