Guys, my TV is SHARP Aquous (LC37A66M), after I had hooked up with my ps3, i dunno why it cant display at 1080p resolution. When i do it manually, it juz can go to 1080i... anyway to change it to 1080p? coz everytime i change the resolution to 1080p, my TV will go blank...
*
The model you described is indeed a FullHD tv but i think you got conned because if your ps3 can only display 1080i then it's only HD-Ready.

Check the back of your TV for the model number and make sure it's really LC37A66M or not.

I have pick 3 lcd tv to buy sony 32bx300 rm 1299, lg 32ld460 for rm 1299, sharp lc32a66m for rm 1499, which lcd best on quality in pics and sound, I will buy it for ps3 and watching movies.
*
I choose Sharp because they make their own LCD panels.

Sony & LG don't make their own LCD panels. Sony get their panels from Sharp and LG get their panels from Philips.

Also Sharp LCD tv colors are more natural.

The A66 series doesn't have a media player built into it. That is available in another model which is more expensive.

I just bought it 2 days ago at Harvey Norman .. went to IKANO and it was sold out i was like FFFFF....

then the salesman say, i make payment here(obviously he wanted his commission haha) and pickup my LCD at other branch, after few calls, it happened that Sunway Pyramid got stock (duno how many though) then straight away go sapu...

i got it at 1,299 after negotiated.

n all i can say is its a bloody good LCD u can have at that price, with Full HD capability! enjoying every second of it!

LC-42A66M, the only downside is... theres no built-in media player inside, so everything has to go via PS3.

but still, its a bang for bucks  notworthy.gif
*
I think you mean LC32A66M because nobody is selling LC42A66M at RM1299.. sweat.gif

I also will sapu 42" Sharp LCD TV if can get at RM1299.. whistling.gif

the electrical store just deliver sharp lcd tv to my home, one word i have to say the pics is awesome especially playing gt5 on that tv, if i want to connect my laptop to tv use vga cable or vga to component cables, and also my dvd player have s-video and normal rca cable, if i want clear pics  what cable should i use?
*
you can connect your laptop to the tv using normal vga cables. your dvd player can connect it with either s-video or component cables. if your devices have hdmi output like ps3 then hdmi cable is the best to use for clear picture with the tv.

Hoping to get some help here, just got a new LG 3D TV but unable to display my PS3.

Model : LX9500

It's Connected via HDMI, when I switch to the HDMI input it says no signal.

I've tried using AV cables and went into the system menu to change output to HDMI (after holding power button to reset the output) but to no avail.

The PS3 has been working on my older non-3D TV so I'm not sure what's the problem.

Additional Info : Able to get Astro working thru HDMI on the other ports.
*
1. If the video output settings do not match those required for the TV in use, the screen may go blank. If the screen remains blank for more than 30 seconds, turn off the system. Then touch the power button on the system front for at least five seconds to turn the system on again. The video output settings will automatically be reset to the standard resolution.

2. Select (Settings) > (Display Settings).

3. Select [Video Output Settings].

4. Select the connector type on your TV.

If the TV in use supports 3D stereoscopic display, a screen for setting the TV size will be displayed after step 4. Follow the on-screen instructions to adjust the settings.

Tried that already unfortunately still no video

All the other HDMI devices work but somehow the TV won't play nice with the PS3 :/
*
i think you need a HDMI 1.4 cable to work with your 3d tv.

sorry guys for the late reply,my tv is LG-32L400M, not sure either full hd or hd ready
i dont have problem with av,but having problem with my hdmi

for hdmi.....i should set display option for hdmi...then faster change to hdmi channel right?...there is signal 560p Hz but no picture...just blank in hdmi channel

should i try the reset av thingy?

thank you
*
you should reset your ps3 display settings by pressing the power button for 5 seconds until you hear a beep. your tv should then be able to display the video at standard resolution.

for your info, your sharp tv is hd ready only.
