QUOTE(shadow111 @ Mar 22 2010, 09:14 AM) can i know what's the main diff btw photoshop n lightroom? plan to get one n learn how to use it. which will be easier and more suitable to be used? thanks. Can put it this way, Photoshop -> manual, Lightroom -> semi-auto . Lightroom can basically do most of the things an average photographer would want to do on their pictures. Straightening, exposure, contrast etc. But if you wanna do something more detailed like 'make up touch up' for portrait, you'll need photoshop.

It just like i cant snap the exact color as what i saw on the spot. Any pro been there to snap pic ? Did anyone of u face the same problem ?

Trying chg to manual WB and set it yourself. the cam's auto WB might be confused with so many different colours there.

just shoot in raw and then get the colour u want =p @enzo i took a look at your picture's specs. at f/10 and 1/3s speed, that's bound to make your picture blur, hence the lightbulbs aren't sharp, if that's what you meant by it. your ISO was also at 200... for a night shot i suggest upping a little and sacrificing stopping down your aperture as well. i'm guessing u shot at one of the auto modes. the lightbulbs themselves are bright, and don't require much speed/iso to get exposed nicely, but your auto settings probably compensated the surroundings, which aren't so bright. thus the bulbs themselves are probably overexposed, plus 1/3shutter speed will make it blur too. my 2 cents./icouldbewrong This post has been edited by luzzio: Mar 23 2010, 06:20 AM

I'm, planning to get Nikon D90, but now i dilemma, the shop keep asking me to buy Canon 550D or 50D over Nikon D90, said Canon is made in Japan while Nikon is made in Thailand, and Nikon service is slow and expensive while Canon service is fast and cheaper, even accessories Canon cheaper than Nikon.

The exact same thing I faced, but in the end I took D90 over 40D/50D. Don't worry, despite being made in Thailand, Nikon build seems better than Canon's made in Japan build.

from my research over the net last time when i'm deciding which dslr to buy.. 50D is a good buy if u can afford good lens for it. if not, it's better to get D90.

Canon service is just the same with nikon...it will super fast if ur having the CPS membership..if u dont have the cps membership, then i think it will be the same only.

He already has a complete Canon system... with many great lens like 5dmk2, 85 f/1.2, 16-35 f/2.8 and 70-200 f/4. But then he also a very very rich kid.. ._. LOL.
