guys how low specs a htpc can be ? as i will be using it to watch movies on my pc via wifi.
i need a decent processor than can perform well when i watch via network. but im not sure how decent is enough? i will run it on windows 7 and pair it up with 2gb ram, low end graphic card and small hdd.
i prefer pc than a media player because it is upgradeable and better compatibility.

AMD AthlonII X3 440 3GHZ Tripple Core + Sapphire HD5450 performance more than enuff for HTPC or DLNA and the price for both lower than RM350.00

Can I ask if we were to upgrade the HTPC to 3D capable in future, do we have to up the basic spec of the HTPC itself other than the graphic card?

But can get any USB or PCI Express wifi adapter. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-p...spx?pid=3681#ovhttp://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_CPU_o...ard/E35M1M_PRO/This post has been edited by chuan1983: Jun 7 2011, 03:01 PM
