guys how low specs a htpc can be ? as i will be using it to watch movies on my pc via wifi.

i need a decent processor than can perform well when i watch via network. but im not sure how decent is enough?
i will run it on windows 7 and pair it up with 2gb ram, low end graphic card and small hdd.

i prefer pc than a media player because it is upgradeable and better compatibility.

Can I ask if we were to upgrade the HTPC to 3D capable in future, do we have to up the basic spec of the HTPC itself other than the graphic card?

suggest you get Gigabyte E-350N-USB3 or Asus E35M1-M PRO, bad thing don't have wifi integrated. But can get any USB or PCI Express wifi adapter.

So you have all your speaker's optical connected straight to the back panel of your HTPC without passing through any receiver right..
