MSI Trident and Asus Huracan as well as Intel Skull Canyon have models powered by the Intel i9 microprossor as well as hundreds of megabytes or gigabytes of high performance video ram for accelerated video processing power.
It is one of the latest A/V gadgets out there. Capable of playing 4K video@60FPS FMV@120Hz and maybe even 8K resolution is possible and they come with HDMI-CEC connectivity plus they come with gigabytes or terabytes of SSD storage space.

Minisforum has introduced new NUCs with AMD Ryzen 4000 APU Renoir series. Not cheap at about RM3,000 but they are the CPUs for Ultrabooks. I define HTPCs as small or tiny PCs made to play movies and LIGHT games on a TV/home theater. Of course, now the minimum spec must play 4K at least and I think models around RM2,000 (Minisforum UM250) can certainly do that and more.

The Subor Z and Z+ has a custom made AMD Ryzen CPU only meant for that console hybrid.
Loads of video RAM too. Outputs in 4K HDMI CEC too.

Yeah.. last time around 1k+ already can build htpc (not for gaming). Now even video decoding also need powerful cpu or gpu.
