apologize if i hijack this thread..

i would like to ask almost the same question as well..I went to SenQ and there was a special promotion on Samsung LCD 40" TV (LA40B530) model..the original tag price is RM3799 but for PlusOne card holder, I'm receiving RM1000 discount which is the price after the discount is RM2799! and it is very limited to only few units  smile.gif

I asked the shop and the TV they said is brand new, not display set as i keep asking the question over and over..

so I would to hear some comments or suggestion for LYN members, though I havent paid it fully yet, I only make a deposit and informed that I will come back later either to claim back my money or made the full payment..

what do you think guys? should i go this LCD tv? I was eyeing on a sony 32" BX400/EX400 (forgot already) but then suddenly i stumbled upon this promotion!  rclxub.gif

Probably i suggest you dont..Jusco seems to have Panasonic Plasma promotion..a buyer i met last nite told me he bought Panasonic Plasma 42' for 2.2k with discounted around RM600..i think Plasma promotion worth looking at..i think its Jusco Maluri, probably check at any nearest Jusco..

Just a suggestion..

thanks for your suggestion, is it Full HD? as i made my survey..cheap plasmas arent full HD, and I'm going to use the TV for gaming anyway, not for astro...lots of suggestion to use LCD instead of plasma for playing games sad.gif

Very simple lah! Next time you encounter such similar problem, tell whoever you buy from that you will report them to the relevant G department. If you look like a G staff say you in working in the G & or ex-G staff or know someone working in the G. Sure to work one!

So happen I am a ex-G staff (Retiree) & have try it so many times. Tried it even on G department. Works every time.

Thanks

that reminds me of BHB in Penang.
Bought a LG washing machine, front loading, over 4k. Promised to send to my home in 2 days time, and they did.
But upon opening up the box, found out the washing machine is scratched and the label was blackened and dirty. I asked the delivery guy whether this is the display unit, he just won't answer me.
I called the office, the sales lady insisted it was a brand new unopened unit.
I mentioned about the condition, and she said it's the "tahan powder" LG engineer put in so that the Washing machine can "tahan lama" and as the result, the unit is a bit scratch and dirty. WTF.
I explained to her that it's ok to admit they made a mistake and resend me a new unit but she kept on insisting that 's a new unit and argued kaw kaw with me. I fed up, scolded her, cancelled the order and hung up on her. I then asked the delivery guy to send the unit back.
About 2 hours later, the manager called me, apologize and promised to resend me a brand new unit, but I just don't want already even though he gave me RM500 discount.
Really bad experience...

LG front loading for RM4k??!
That's kinda expensive right? I see front loading ones from Electrolux, Samsung and Panasonic only at RM2k, some less...

Harvey Norman more expensive then Seng Heng / SenQ?
Over here in Penang, I find Harvey Norman pricing lower in most cases... especially if you pay by cash, the price can still be negotiated...

though i have went to a few shops around my area and most of the time they have a very limited display unit, so i cant really experience it before buying it sad.gif i almost bought a sony 32" with the price of rm 2.3k, while i just need to add a few hundred more to get a 40" with reasonable price..well, thats what i think of..i am getting 0% interest payment, with extra warranty + thinking of getting another extra coverage for 2 years, where if my LCD is broken, i can change with another LCD with the price that i bought..

i see, well currently Harvey Norman just doing display set clearance and in my cases, the staffs was not helpful to me ( well this i guess depends on luck anyway right ), even shipping charges i need to pay extra..wall mounting package is twice the price of senheng! HV will charge me rm500 while SenQ only gonna charge me rm200 blink.gif though, i use card anyway blush.gif

QUOTE(HMMaster @ Mar 12 2010, 09:54 PM)
My rant:

1. Bought a LCD TV on 18th Feb from Senheng and promised will deliver the next day.
2. Next day, they called me said the stock 'kena hujan' and cannot be delivered. Ok, fine. Then they told me that they will call me again next week and will be delivered.
3. One week passed, no call from them. Then I call the sales guy. Said still no stock bcoz the distribution center got some problem. Need to wait till next week only can get. Ok, I'm still fine with it. (By this time I have a feeling that he totally forgot about my TV already)
4. Another week passed, and still no call from them. I called the office and some girl pick up the phone. Told her my problem, and she said the will check and call me back again. But no call from her. I call back, but the phone keep engaged. Called the sales guy directly. He still said NO STOCK. WTF? He told me to give him another chance and wait for ANOTHER WEEK. I already fed up by that time, and told him that I want to cancel my order. Then he told me that it will take 2 weeks to cancel the order.
5. After one week (today), i called the "HQ" to check the status. Told them my details and promised to call me back. But NO CALL at all. WTF?

Probably have to call them again  vmad.gif

Anyone that face any problem buying from senheng before?

i can understand if that particular store sucks... but if HQ service also like that then its not hard to conclude SENG HENG SUCKS!!!

Go to Megatronik , Pandan Jaya branch, you can ask for LED / LCD TV good prices. They told me before that even the LED goes on 1/2 price. No joke..but if they deny, that means , they only give it to regular customers..
