My rant:

1. Bought a LCD TV on 18th Feb from Senheng and promised will deliver the next day.
2. Next day, they called me said the stock 'kena hujan' and cannot be delivered. Ok, fine. Then they told me that they will call me again next week and will be delivered.
3. One week passed, no call from them. Then I call the sales guy. Said still no stock bcoz the distribution center got some problem. Need to wait till next week only can get. Ok, I'm still fine with it. (By this time I have a feeling that he totally forgot about my TV already)
4. Another week passed, and still no call from them. I called the office and some girl pick up the phone. Told her my problem, and she said the will check and call me back again. But no call from her. I call back, but the phone keep engaged. Called the sales guy directly. He still said NO STOCK. WTF? He told me to give him another chance and wait for ANOTHER WEEK. I already fed up by that time, and told him that I want to cancel my order. Then he told me that it will take 2 weeks to cancel the order.
5. After one week (today), i called the "HQ" to check the status. Told them my details and promised to call me back. But NO CALL at all. WTF?

Probably have to call them again vmad.gif

Anyone that face any problem buying from senheng before?

This remind me one case that happen on me on 2008

My sister bought a 32inch lcd, well on the box its stated that S-Video cable is included in the box.Somehow the cable is missing, I call immediately Seng Heng and they said that they never open the box..That was a new stock. So after a lil bit arguing..they agree to verify with supplier

2 days later, they called.said that one of the staff actually "ACCIDENTLY" take the s-video cable and havent put it back. Later that day I go back and take the s-video cable..

Most of the time I find the SA are noobies. Worse they are not well train in handling customer and not familiar with the products they are selling. They just want to close the sales even though there is no stock, other than display model.
Harvey Norman SA are better.

IMHO sengheng only sells product. any problem, misstock or what so ever they dont care that much. got issues with them last year.bought n verity that aircond unit still got stock. next day installed. two weeks later no cold anymore. called up, installer not coming in. fxcked up several times to sengheng shop n 1 time to sengheng hq.called panasonic, later in eve coming in check and show gas pressure low, show where leaked out (due to lousy installation). immediately called up again sengheng shop, got their boss number. tomorrow installer came in n reapair..after several days. later after 2 (or 3) month, again not cold. directly called up installer...still not came in until today. that is in july 2009.

yet still, they got got price-for-value (compared with several shop n supermarket nearby).

that reminds me of BHB in Penang.
Bought a LG washing machine, front loading, over 4k. Promised to send to my home in 2 days time, and they did.
But upon opening up the box, found out the washing machine is scratched and the label was blackened and dirty. I asked the delivery guy whether this is the display unit, he just won't answer me.
I called the office, the sales lady insisted it was a brand new unopened unit.
I mentioned about the condition, and she said it's the "tahan powder" LG engineer put in so that the Washing machine can "tahan lama" and as the result, the unit is a bit scratch and dirty. WTF.
I explained to her that it's ok to admit they made a mistake and resend me a new unit but she kept on insisting that 's a new unit and argued kaw kaw with me. I fed up, scolded her, cancelled the order and hung up on her. I then asked the delivery guy to send the unit back.
About 2 hours later, the manager called me, apologize and promised to resend me a brand new unit, but I just don't want already even though he gave me RM500 discount.
Really bad experience...

Well, the SA attitude is not that bad when I buying at the shop that time. Explained everything in detail to me... but I never thought the the after sales service can be this bad!

For air-cond, i prefer to buy it from those air-con shop. Better workmanship than shop like senheng, hypermarket, etc...

So far, i have no bad experience with SenQ Penang. 2 LCD TV and a front load washing machine, sent installed just fine.

My latest purchase was a 32" Samsung LCD B460 at around Rm1540. But just yesterday, Sen@ sell the 32B530 for RM16++. Damn..... that is just after 2 weeks.

For me is always make purchases with credit card. If there is anything not satisfaction, can always call credit card/bank to hold the payment until matter resolve.

From there see who is more kan cheong.

Just my 2 cents...

apologize if i hijack this thread..

i would like to ask almost the same question as well..I went to SenQ and there was a special promotion on Samsung LCD 40" TV (LA40B530) model..the original tag price is RM3799 but for PlusOne card holder, I'm receiving RM1000 discount which is the price after the discount is RM2799! and it is very limited to only few units smile.gif

I asked the shop and the TV they said is brand new, not display set as i keep asking the question over and over..

so I would to hear some comments or suggestion for LYN members, though I havent paid it fully yet, I only make a deposit and informed that I will come back later either to claim back my money or made the full payment..

what do you think guys? should i go this LCD tv? I was eyeing on a sony 32" BX400/EX400 (forgot already) but then suddenly i stumbled upon this promotion! rclxub.gif
