I have not heard of any hdd media player that has auto volume normalization feature. Are there such hdd media player that has audio normalization function?
*
well.. before i am using HDPRO. i did get a hand on "mobile media player". it has a setting at the music - auto volume "on / off". I did some sample test on it. it does balance the volume of played file. But this player no downmix sound. that why i turn to HDPRO.

Sometime things never get perfect... is it? unless its HTPC with XBMC.

tested DVD.ISO of MJ This Is It. Video at 720x480. Audio is AC3 6 channel, 48kHz. B rate at 448kbps show on amp.

Smooth played and sound of the 6 channel run smoothly on my 5.1 sound Yamaha Amp. Nice. This video utilized lots of surround sound. Cool.

Smooth streaming from my Notebook simultaneously with the player playing on TV

Still waiting for larger MKV files... smile.gif

High reframe or high bit rate? I have another movie having this amount of reframe and 10mbps of bit rate with no issue. But this is with 33.8 Mbps of bit rate

This HDpro can handle all these rmvb, mkv (more than 10G), even bluray ts file (more than 40G) with no problem at all. Movie PQ is almost similar to what PS3 have.
Playing the uncompress audio,WAV with better sound performance than other media player, for example Inphic I9. Of course, if compare to PS3, hdpro still lack of some details & punch sound.

For budget RM400, I would recommend it.

One of the new features in the HDPro is the Ken Burns effect for viewing photos under the Misc setup screen. It is less boring that watching your photos in a static slide show even with the transition effects on. This is good for showing off your photos on a HDTV as they fill the wide-screen and slowly zoom and pan like a slow video. This is not for the purists since your photos will be zoomed and cropped; how else can you fit a 4:3 photo in a 16:9 screen? thumbup.gif

guys,

I wonder if HDPro could actually play mkv files with lossless audio? Most of the movie I have come with DTS only. Not the Master audio or even lossless PCM format. I have some test files I donwloaded with lossless audio format but HDPro cant recornized it.

The spec says it play BD.ISO so I guess thats where it possibly play HD MA or TrueHD. But how about those MKV and M2TS files with lossless audio format?

I have asked these same question before but no answer forthcoming.
Either it is not able to play or they still don't know.
Either way, the silence is not reassuring.

I tested on MKV files with lossless audio format. HDPro cant recognize the audio. It can play the video at 1080p. But no audio output.

So far, what I know is these media players can only play mkv files with DTS or Dobly Digital. But NOT for lossless LPCM, Master Audio and True HD.

But most of the movies online that downloable are DTS 5.1 or DD only or PCM at 48kHz. Have not seen one at 96kHz yet.
