Hi Yang Xi,

Thanks for the great product. I've received mine last weekend and it works great in playing my video files and it works fine with my DTS Amp.

However, I'm facing some problem with the unit i have and I hope you could advice on how to solve it.

1st Problem : Can't Bootup after Power Off
The unit I have can't Bootup after I shutdown and then turn off the power. When I turn back on the power, the blue keypad lights just lights on and nothing happen. The yellow LED is also off. Sometimes I repeat this power off/on, i get the blue keypad and yellow power LED continuously blinking and nothing happen besides that. I have to actually pull out the power 12VDC at the back of the unit and plug in back to have the unit bootup properly. Is this normal or is there a solution for this?

2nd problem: Can't Detect Wireless-N USB Donggle
I have a Wireless-N donggle model WL552USB from Aztech. It is using Ralink Driver in my PC. When I plug in this donggle to the HDPRo, nothing happen. Is this Donggle not compatible? Do you have a list of compatible donggle? if yes, could you kindly PM me?

Thanks for your time taken to answer my questions.

Best Regards,

what is your firmware date ? (goto setup->system-> system info)

1.) remote turn on.
-Some batch using the new boot loader cause it. (supose need protect HDD)
I need serial tool to update this..

2.) Realtek 1073dd player only use own wifi chipset (RTL8187,RTL8191SU). others cannot.

Hi Yang Xi,

Thanks for the quick reply.
The firmware originally loaded is 8th March.

After our phone conversation, the new boot loader behaves this way to protect improper shut down of the HDD.
I will try and see if I could live with it. If no, I'll contact you and send back for the ROM upgrade.

As for the Wifi Donggle, I'll try to get one with the advised chipset.

Thanks & Regards,

This is to plan to get for my bro another unit. So........ just want to know 1st.

Hi tracktion3,

Just a wild idea, maybe you can try connecting the USB port for PC at one HDPRO and connect it to another HDPRO's USB port.

Your 2nd HDPRO should see your 1st HDPRO as a Hard Drive.

YangXi,

Could you confirm if this can be done without damaging the unit?

I believe if your PC has two USB ports, you can connect both the HDPro to each of the USB ports. Your PC should see them as two differenct Hard Drives and you can then copy the files across.
