Hi I just placed order for HDpro with seller but stock run out. So I booked for the next shipment.

May I suggest to seller to create a simple blog that contain all the information needed for each of his product such as product features, firmware update, manuals, video, FAQ and so on. You can use free blogspot (free maa). Kind a lost with long thread discussion which features available or what firmware needed. Just my suggestion. Any who what great product you got there.

May I know how to fit the video source to my 16:9 screen?
I also dunno why the video source i downloaded was some weird resolution (like 1920x800, etc) instead of 1920 x 1080 even though they mentioned 1080p.

I used my fren's media player to play, it was full screen, but not in HDPro.

And any recommended setting for colors? Brightness, contrast, hue, etc.
I feel the color quite weird compare to my fren's media player.

Thanks.

harrychoo,
- 1080p actually is counting the WIDTH 1920 pixels rather 1080 pixels HEIGHT.
same with 720p, it actually refers to WIDTH 1280px, rather than 720px HEIGHT.
The reason is simply becos films are shot and released in different widescreen formats. Philips has this crazy 21:9 screen, think it's called 'true-cinema' or something smile.gif

- your fren got fullscreen - maybe he zoomed more, or he stretch to full screen without "maintaining" aspect ratio

Bro as far as I know, 1080p is the height.

When advertise as 1920x800 that means, the with is at 1920 horizontal and the 800p vertical is due to the ripper took out the rest of the black bars above and below, so you get a smaller file to download. You don't need those black bars anyway do you?

well.. the zoom made those black bars disappears sometimes. the toggle 4:3 and 16:9 can remove the left and right bars... it make you video fat though sometimes

my 2 cents as I could recall when I google for the same question before....

Added on April 15, 2010, 3:26 pmbtw... I've using HDPro BT for 2 days now. Is is very hot? nope.. not really. I mean is not like super hot. My notebook is even hotter.. tongue.gif

didnt hang and still play..... movies no problemo...

just that sometimes download speed fast, sometimes slow... hmmm

Also, I dont read mandarin.. so, the new download feature at the web is cool. I can see those movies that you want.. I mean the pics... . Then I used it to download the torrent and use my PC to download instead.

well yeah, u're right smile.gif harry's asking about his weird 1920x800 resolution... less confusing if u forget about the height being 1080px tongue.gif

harry, 1920x800 = 21:9 true-cinema ratio, go buy this then u can get full screen smile.gif

Oh, now I get it. So can I said there are no standardize height even though it is 720p or 1080p?
Means we should check the resolution of the source 1st regardless 720p/1080p or not?

So now I have to find sources for 16:9

How to remove the up/down black bars if my source is not 16:9 (which doesn't match my panel ratio)?
I try playing the same source on my fren's player, I noticed that by default, it oledi fit nicely into my screen without changing any settings.
So wonder why HDPro can't do the same.

About the new download feature, are those torrents or direct download? Not yet try tongue.gif

the direct download didnt work. so I need to go to neighbor web.

if you like it to stay at that zoom level without the black bars, just go to setup>video>aspect ratio> Pan Scan 4:3

he he he

On my HDPro (Rev B), system info show that Samba Server & BitTorrent NOT Install.
How do I install them without reformatting my internal HD?
What is the function of SAMBA/Samba Server?

I have just tried playing some .mpg files from home movies that I made using Corel Video Studio 12 and videos shot with my Sanyo HD2000. They play smoothly and sound was OK and in sync. The original videos from the camcorder were .mp4 and then edited and saved as AVCHD .mpg and also mpeg2 .mpg movies. The HDPro plays both types without problem. rclxms.gif Which version firmware is your HDPro using?
