I just tried using the demo in the kave cd, and everything is perfect! Vibrations are there, and so does the 5.1 system. It seems like my music are the problems, lol.
Thanks for the help. Really appreciated it.
Btw, do you have any sample music that has 5.1 surround sound? I didn't feel any vibrations when playing music. Thanks.
Normally you don't get any vibrations from music, unless you turn it up really loud, or has the ability to tune your equalizer. My suggestions to you is to get a cheap but reasonable sound card like the Creative. Your experience will be a ten times better, I promise you that.
As for 5.1 music, I think I actually have one CD encoded in DTS (note I said CD, and not DVD). I didn't really bother listening to it after buying it during the AV show. I do that some times. Ok, all the times. However, the best way to test surround music is through concert. Try out David Foster and Friends' Hit Man. Get the blu-ray if you have the player. Your next best concert would be Celine Dion's Live In Vegas, followed very closely by Michael Jackson's This Is It. But for surround effect, I would go with MJ first.
By the way, if you do want to try playing surround music (CD), I can pass my CD to you. If I can find it. I have no idea where it is. Alternatively, you can look for one of these CD in any Victoria Music stores. They sell them. My advise? Wait for the AV Show this 23 - 25 July. And AV stands for Audio Visual, not Adult Video in case you want to be funny.

Got my KAVE a few days ago, wanna share my experience tweaking it with my X-Fi Titanium PCI soundcard, hopes it helps some ppl on the hisisng sound.
My X-Fi has a FlexiJack connected (Black coloured) which could be set to become either as a Line-In or Microphone. When I set it to Microphone mode, I could start hearing the hissing, even with the Mic turned off (pressing the Mute Mic button at the KAVE desktop controller). Set to Line-In and the hissing is gone!

But the hissing will come back when I needed to use the Mic.
Some of you if you could hear the surrounding sound after the Mic is turned on, that's probably because your default playback devices is set to output what the Microphone has taken in.
Disable it via Sounds -> Playback -> Speakers -> Properties -> Levels, mute the Mic. That should stop the sound of the Microphone.
Yes normal music only have 2 channels (stereo) output, if using KAVE you'll only hear the sound from the two Front speakers. Unless you use your sound card/playback software to make it to a 5.1 output.
So far, had no problem with the bass/vibration unit, sounds getting better after 3 days burn in with Subwoofer volume turned off (scare the vibration unit cannot tahan overnight burn in

)
But the greatest downside for me is still the weight! Having headache after 1hr+ of using..

I think the 3 cushions on the head are too thin and hard..for me only the middle one touch my head (yes I did tried to put the head band a little bit forward but it's still the same! Maybe my head is too sharp!?)
Please correct me if I said anything stupid~

Suppose you will get used to the weight. It was heavy for me in the beginning too, gets a headache after an hour. Now I can play with that thing on for 3 hours without having to take it off at all. But I believe the problem is not to shift the headphone forward, but to loosen it up a bit. You won't be dancing around with that thing, so don't worry that it will drop off your head.
