Guys i wanna ask how do u i copy contacts from a GSM phone to a Iphone3gs ?

i want to buy a brand new iphone 3gs...but i want to buy it standalone, not from dg or maxis...any1 knows where i can get it new?

i asked at machines store, but they said i have to buy from maxis or dg...

appreciate if you guys could recommend places to buy iphone 3gs. thx in advance

ah..i get it now..the rm2490 with no contract is for the prepaid user. can i buy the phone and swap in other sim? will it work? exmple like dg or celkom?

Not sure if this was posted before. I am referring the 3G/E/o icons as the data access icons. Only when an area is within the data coverage, these 3 icons will be displayed accordingly.

However, recently I found that at times, my data access icon went missing (hence I can't download emails not access to internet). So far this had happened 3 times.

First time - I on the flight mode when I flew from KL to Phuket. Upon reaching Phuket, my data icon went missing. I tried various ways (enable/disable 3G/Edge, enable/disable data roaming and so on). Then I had to off my phone and used blackrain to switch in on again (mine is unthetered JB).

Second time - I flew from KL to Singapore. Similar experience as the first time, I ended up switched off my phone and re-JB again.

Third time - While I was using the data service for the whole day without any issue, suddenly the data icon went missing again after my dinner. I had to switch off the phone and re-JB again.

Guys, any idea what causes this problem? Is there anyway that I can have the data access back without switching off my phone (it is pain in the ass as I need a laptop with me all the time to do this)?

Your best bet would be do a factory reset and see if the icon back again!

install the data toggle for sbsettings. disable and enable it again. this will reset the radio.

First of all, from what you describe, most of the time you can't access data is when you are abroad. Do you subscribe to data roaming? If not then that's why you're not able to use the data.

Why do you need to use Blackra1n everytime you switch off and switch on the phone. If yours is untethered, there's no need to re-run the Blackra1n everytime the phone reboot.

This alone shows it's a Tethered JB

My questions to you:
1. Is your iPhone officially unlock i.e. by Maxis, Digi, Singtel etc?
2. If it's not officially unlock, did you unlock it with Blacksn0w? (Unlock and Jailbreak are 2 different things ... just to make sure)
3. Do you subscribe to data roaming on your telco?
4. When the problem happens, rather than rebooting and re-jb, did you try to reset the network settings?

Yes, I am on data package for a long time already.

Reseting my network settings will need me to re-JB again as well.
