how do i know if i am in a 3g or 3.5g network using iphone?

3.5g got many other bandwith while nokia 3.5g is compatible wif local carriers
while iphone 3.5g is more advanced with diff bandwith???

i update the fb to newest oledi....
but still hav logging prob...
n i dl older version which was ok last time also cant sign in..
