I wanted to know does my iphone lock or unlock?. when I on the iphone, message say sim locked.. is it unlock or lock?. can i use other sim for my iphone?

sim lock is the usual sim PIN code (either by default from the network or your own preset)

Is there a way to tone down the keypad's volume? Mine after a reboot sounds so loud that ppl downstairs can hear me dialing.

My 3gs always in DFU mode
I plug and iTunes detect in recovery mode and need to restore.
I try restore but error 1604
I blackra1n.. after finish at front display slide to unlock appear 1 sec and crash back to DFU..

can someone help me out?
dis 3gs 3.1.2 ok before just after install apps via itunes its go crazy.

I have an iPhone3G which I use as an iPod pretty frequently (driving to work, gym, etc.) My question/issue is this: every now and again my iPod will just quit, mid-song. Like I'll be driving, listening to music, and then it suddenly just exits.

Then I have to double-click Home to bring up iPod controls again and resume play. It happens often enough for me to notice. Does anyone know why this is?

can you try to restore your iPhone (as a new phone and not from backup) on another PC/MAC?

you didn't jailbreak your iPhone didn't you?

erm, i seem to be suggesting the same solution today.

anyhow, since your case is so remote, you will have to do some trial and error experiments and slowly eliminate them.

so for starters, just restore your iPhone (as new again and not from backup) and don't jailbreak this round.

however i have a feeling that this will solve it.
