Most of GPSs rely on satellite rather than using 3g or wifi. Should be sufficient if you use it just for normal use (emails, safari, tethering, etc) and not heavy use (download heavily).

You try to restore once over again. If problem still persist you should consult any hardware technician nearby.

You may try this method:
1. Go to the Settings>General>Network>Cellular Data Network.
2. You will see 3 sections:
-Cellular Data
-MMS
-Internet Tethering
3. Under Internet Tethering section, type celcom3g in the APN field.
4. Then go back to Settings>General>Network. Internet Tethering option will emerge just before VPN option. Turn on the option. You will be asked weather to connect via bluetooth or usb to your notebook/pc.

I think it should work.

A: MMS only available for 3G and 3GS. There will be no MMS function for 2G. 2G iPhone users can use SwirlyMMS or ActivateMMS2G.
Read previous post of mine. thanks
