Has anyone ever encountered the case where whenever I open the iPod application and play a music, and then when I return to the homescreen, the iPod automatically closes. By default, it's suppose to continue to run right? Any solutions to this problem?

have been browsing a few threads, trying to finalize the restore iphone and carrier settings steps .
So thought of posting a summary, for anyone who is trying to restore their phone etc .
I've compiled the list here of all the action i've taken to restore n setup for Digi. And my iphone now is working like it should.

0)Unplugged IPHONE from PC

1)Hold Power + HOME button. Do not slide turn iphone off. Just Wait till it shutdown

2)Keep holding down HOME button and at the same time plug in iphone usb to PC

3)Iphone will boot up into Recovery Mode

4)Itunes will prompt you a mssg indicating iphone in recovery mode ( You can let go the Home button you are pressing now )

5)Shift click Restore. And select 3.1.3 ipsw file ( Mine is a 3.1.3 original fw. Google around to download the 3.1.3 from PC. Not using Itunes. Much faster. )

6)Restore process will start...
** Iphone will ask Carrier Update found. Update ? Choose NO.
7)Choose Setup As NEW iphone.

8)When its done iphone restarts, like original default settings. Can use iphone to make calls etc. But cant use Edge/3g/MMS so ...

9)Go General -> Settings -> network -> Cellular Data Network

10)Insert DIGI vpn/mms details. Can look it up in Webpage or here are the settings

APN: Diginet
Username: ( just leave blank )
Password: ( just leave blank )

MMS
APN: Digimms
Username: mms
Password: mms
MMSC: http://mms.digi.com.my/servlets/mms
MMS Max mssg size: 307200
MMS UA Prof URL: ( just leave blank )

***restart iphone. N Check that everything is working 3g/Mms. But losing Internet Tethering on/off option.
***Switch 3g off. Then Internet Tethering on/off option pops up
***switch back to 3g. Internet Tethering on/off option comes back again
***Proceed to set internet tethering like below:

Internet Tethering
APN: Diginet
Username: ( just leave blank )
Password: ( just leave blank )

***I think maybe i did not set Internet Tethering APN details thats why my Internet Tethering on/off option disappear after restart

for non jailbroken phone..theres no way to customize my sms ringtone aa?

no.. u'll need jailbroken iphone to put custom sms tones.

Hi there,

Whenever i tried to uninstall some themes from cydia, It will prompt me to install intellishared. But i already have that in my system. Then it will prompted to error message.

I noticed something in 3.1.3 ..i dunno it is a bug or wad but i juz notice tat after i unplugged my speaker headphone,my iphone will become silent when i use ipod again(and typing sms too).I have not turn off the volume.I tried to increase the volume but it still turn out no sound.There is even no volume bar on the ipod..But after i restart my iphone,everything will become normal again.. Anyone can help?

my current problems is my iphone cannot receive any call. once someone ring it go to voicemail direct. I have try reset the network but it is not working at all.

I have tried the code ( *5005*86*xxx# ), where xxx is the celcom voicemail (1313)

Whenever, I tap on the voicemail button and it calls the voicemail service automatically, BUT I keep receiving Call Failed.

Anyone on Celcom facing this problem on their iPhone?

I can't activate my position in the maps coz it it shows "your position cannot be determined'. It was ok before I reinstall again the 3.1.2 firmware. My iPhone is locked set with 3.1.2 (7D11) firmware and modem firmware 05.11.07. Any advise. Thanks in advance.

the answer will be no... u will have to reset the data meter manually...

there is no data tracking meter utiliy available from maxis as well...

Firstly what provider and what plan?? Maxis dont have unlimited, u PAY if u use extra than your allocation...

Check if your Location setting is enabled?

that is y more ppl turn to digi (unlimited, just after over the given data usage, will be slow a bit only)
