Obviously is a NO..this is not secondary school test or diploma..There are millions of ppl taking the papers and I doubt there will be times for these examiners to really check 1 by 1 and go through your previous marks to determine u pass or fail.. Since I heard about ACCA, decided to take it.. until now, it has always been 50 marks passing rate..never I heard of 60 to get a pass..your friend got the info from where??

Not everyone will subject to OT like this. Some of the terrible things you all heard apply to those auditing large PLC companies or major banks. Then its true. But mostly for others they will be free around May onwards or end of april (which is about now). So technically now its already off peak for all big 4, almost all my friends in other big4s also went to holiday or group trips or something. Even in Big4 there is small, medium and large team and inside those team also got small, medium and large companies so depends on your luck too.

I think those who want to work in the Big4 is due to their approved employer platinum status and for their resume later on if they want to leave the co.

I would say it is definitely true! That's how I passed my F8 in first sitting with reasonably satisfactory marks

F8 is a killer paper, you need to work hard, don't depend on tips.

F4 is easier, no need tips, just study and memorise by hard for 8 to 10 years past year question & answer, I gurantee your F4 in the exam day, at least 75% of the question will be repeat from what your study in PYQ.

Sunway office just called me coz i didn't sign up for their LAN.

coz i read that if you don't do LAn you won't get the cert. but ACCA cert send directly to my house wat? so that means i can just ignore their threat???

ACCA got 14 papers altogether. maximum can take 4 papers for every half year.. it depends on your speed

They suddenly stop it without good reason, your should write in to complaint.

Added on May 5, 2010, 9:19 amACCA is external exam, college just provide tuition but not exam, so that's nothing to do with LAN subject. May be for Sunway, LAN subject is compulsory, but for other college n KL, no LAN subject for student.

Btw,LAN subject refers to the pengajian malaysia and such right?

ACCA/CAT is external exam, not college exam. College only provide tuition and assist student in registration process for exam. College don't have rights to ask student complusory go for LAN. Even they said LAN is compulsory for their college student, but if you didn't sign up LAN, they also don't have any rights to stop you take ACCA/CAT exam.

not taking MQA subjects won't affect your ACCA exams in any way I'd think.Just that it may affect your status as a full time Sunway UC student.
