You need to switch ON A-GPS in order to get satellite lock
*
AGPS cost about 10 or 20 sen each time you connect. And it only takes a few seconds to locate the satellite.

Without AGPS, I can still locate the satellite but takes much longer. Ranges from 1/2 to 5 minutes.

Sigh...Garmin still unstable for this model despite changing the settings as guided. Seriously hoping they will fix this issue with a new version/firmware.

A-GPS will charge a few cents each time a lock is needed.
You can always change the option to "prompted" so that you can decide.

I tried using the GPS with AGPS on, just trying to locate my position & scroll a bit nearby me, then I back check my balance. It's already charge me around RM1.00. btw, I'm using Pre-Paid Hotlink.

May I know if I use AGPS to lock on the position, then Off the AGPS because just want it to lock it fast only.
After that still can use the Maps for navigation or not ? or must ON the A-GPS all the way ?

For Maxis post paid, the charges are 1 sen per KB of data. Each AGPS request is worth <5KB or <5 sen. Not sure of other Telco or pre-paid.

The A-GPS request, is it use for initial lock-on GPS device time only rite. or it will keep requesting whenever we're in a navigation in a routes.
If I'm using this GPS functions, I don't mind charged me once only on Satelite Lock-on using A-GPS, after that I can freely use my Free Navigation in town biggrin.gif

Your best bet is to set the phone to seek your permission 'EVERY TIME" it wanted to get data from the Telco. That way, you can decide whether to allow it or not.

From my experience so far, once it has a lock on the satellite, it will not make any further request for satellite location data from Telco. But if you switched off the GPS and then move to a different location, it's a different story.

Again from my experience, if you keep your GPS on for too long, it will very quickly suck dry your battery. So it is a case of leaving the GPS on all the time or turning it off and when arriving at new location, use AGPS again and pay 5 sen more.

Guys just need help with my email. Currently my email is connected using the 3g instead of the wlan. So anyway I can solve this?

My current firmware is 023.002. I tried to update with the nokia OVI suite but they say no update available now. So I was wondering can I just download the firmware and update it?
