For me I rather save my SMS messages to my memory card. For contacts can only save in phone memory. You can always do backup via PC Suite or Ovi Suite or just use the phone backup function to backup your phone contacts to your memory card.

Assuming I have all my contact numbers and to-do-list in my calender in some Microsoft Words or Excel format. Is there a way to transfer those information to the new phone?

Anyone experienced the optical track-pad loose when I let the screen to face downward? it is quite annoying....

No issue when I use it with phone screen facing up.

my phone facing downward also same thing...its has a bit loose feeling to it....but doesnt really bother me that much, Its a hardware thing.

before this, i was considering the Nokia 6760 Slide & this Nokia E72,
the 6760 slide was around RM400++ CHEAPER than E72, I don't know whether the additional functionality/features worth it or not

I choose 6760 Slide because I like the Full Keyboard is bigger.
Now reading many about E72, I'm mouth-watering alrd...

i compare all the specs between E72 and BB9700.i found that BB is really expensive.RRP2100 something but E72 only cost RM1240 for ori set.i think im going to get E72..

E72 better la.. no need to subscribe to those BIS.. Garmin rocks and u get 5mp camera.. Plus nokia 1st phone with touch keypad

the only reason for me to resist from Bold 9700 is the stupid BIS plan.nowadays phones changing so rapidly,i wont stick to a phone for so long.somemore no garmin.really headache.

Garmin on E72 is still not stable right?

Yes, still unstable yet. But still manage work with E72 if u r set the Garmin running in Track up or North up mode instead of 3D mode.

Just bought this phone yday. Done backup from my N73 using Ovi suite, then restore back to E72. Everything is fine except my messages. I got 3 extra folder but it is not being backup and restore. How do I able to copy it to E72?

Anybody know how to make E72 ring louder, it to soft even we set a louder ringtone. Any others suggestion beside using hand free kit.
Is changing mode from business to personal will make it ring louder...i try it but it seem nothing different.

Can get free software anywhere, all you do is just search the internet but be becareful lor. For me, I got my phone hack with helloOX....any software can use

Added on March 9, 2010, 11:59 amit wont ring any louder than the maximum volume set, thats why got the lanyard for u to hang close to u. Furthermore its a business oriented phone, business ppl dont like their phone louder unnecessary. LOL Music phone like 5800 would ring louder

using track up, it still hangs occasionally (more often than not actually)

but it can last 4 at lez 4 days (sms+wifi+music+vidcall)..

Yup, E72 is less power consumption compare to E71.
By the way did you active the power saving mode?
