I will getting my Chiffon Green M-Line AT next week as the SA called me today... finally~
sign all the bank document and paid the down payment...
i asked him why it took so long to deliver, he say that the car will vibrate when it reaches 80km/h and above... proton's SC change one of the item in the engine and change settings in the key code as well. The SC even go to the those pusat jualan proton to change the test drive cars...
after changing the "thing" in the engine part... the test drive car has a bit more power claim the SA.

Added on April 27, 2010, 9:37 pmthis is a reminder to those who plan to get a car this year.
the bank executive who attended my car loan says that there will be another increase in the interest rate on the 15th May 2010, the interest for 5 years will be at 4%... all banks are going for it... don't know whether true or not, so better choose a your dream car and apply for the bank loan...

nice...just found out by using esso ron95 (compared to my usual shell ron95) my persona performs better...i mean the pickup is better, acceleration feels lighter and my engine sound is lower...stepping on the accelerator while overtaking normally make my engine roar, but with this petrol it didn't...considering to try bhp later to see if there's any difference...
*
i think this is a good discussion to share around... my work require me to be on the road most of the time and i had been trying a few petrol brand lately. But i found out that what aremrz is telling is true... shell is not so powerful and not so economical as well... normally i will go for petronas, coz if you use petronas credit card, you will get 5X point on each ringgit you spend and Mesra Points too!

Haven't been to Camerons in a long time. But I'm guessing it's steeper than Genting.

Drove my first gen Persona all the way up to the top of Genting before. 5 people in a car, proudest moment is when some Nissan Sentra (I think the newest one, the one in NFS Underground 2) tried to race with me and failed tongue.gif and that car only 2 people.

No stress to the engine, temperature didn't go up or any side effects. Except when going down, scary...
*
reminds me of my friends savvy... going up new highway to cameran - lost to kelisa with no give face...
when going down hill through the old small roads - the car stick to the road like mad! feels like driving a rally car!!

I find this 'vibration' reason to be strange as this elegance have been test run for few months by proton before launch. hmm.gif

for me using auto cruise in kesas highway is nightmare, half tank gone from cheras to west port, too many traffic, malaysia's traffic really not suitable for auto cruise
*
... how you use cruise in heavy traffic? The car auto slow down also when nearing a car?

it depends on what speed you set at actually. in ELITE/NKVE, i set at 140. at LDP, i set at 120. since i drive long distance everyday, so FC doesn't suffer that much. a full tank can get me around 420-450km easily.
i believe if long distance and set at 110 or even 90, surely your FC will be very low

Wow... my full tank can go max 400 only (driving sanely). But usually after pumping full, the countdown will show 440-450, and it will suddenly shoot down within a 5 minutes drive sweat.gif

I remember once I was leaving Kampar, the Shell station fella force the petrol in until 500... then I masuk highway... suddenly it started dropping by the seconds... I panic sial...

personally, with the amount/location/requirement/etc of my daily driving, for now i'll go for performance and engine condition (my logic is quieter engine = healthy engine tongue.gif )...maybe if i'm frequently being assign for outstation trip, then i'll go for FC...

banking in on mesra points also justifiable in choosing petrol for your car...i might get esso card (do they have this?) if i decide to stick to this brand...and i'm using raytech tint (got large discount voucher from my SA last time)...install at jalan cheras branch...no complaint from me so far...workmanship and quality wise is good...

i think i have the same configuration as yours...maybe we should consider changing the engine oil to esso/mobil to see is it better than using shell..

caltex indeed the engine sound quieter and more smoother than esso ron95...but the problem is caltex station is about 10km from my house... laugh.gif
and the location of caltex station is very little....so if want to stick to caltex a bit problem and too bad caltex didn't offer any loyalty points card like esso did where can change for petrol.. smile.gif

as for bhp, its not bad, engine sound sumwhere between caltex & esso....and pickup much better....

and did not bother to try out shell & petronas...as i tried shell on the other car, the pickup really sucks...

Caltex = engine sound a bit noisy, but can deliver the power
Bhp = engine very quiet, but loss of power a bit
Esso = engine very quiet, but loss of power a bit
Petronas = engine noise a bit noisy, and loss a bit of power
Shell = dont even dare to try laugh.gif
