me too... no surprise at all... the current design looks more nicer.. jz 2 things consider attractive - side mirror quite big with signal lamp and 32-bit ecu~
*
totally agree... besides the 32bit ECU, nothing interest me in the new face lift... i had KIV my booking for the M line due to the face lift H-line, but i think now i will proceed with the M-line... the sales agent told me that the new face lift H-line cost RM2200 more than the previous H-line.

I going to try the Pivot raizin (blue) , any install it before? Please feedback......
*
i think it is worth to install the pivot raizin blue. what mention about the benefit is quite true. i myself had install the pivot raizin blue in my old citroen. it really does help. but on the other hand, i don't think you need to install it into a new car. coz what my car mechanic guy said, don't waste money to install pivot on new cars, bcos car is still new and new wire should be enough to supply electricity for the car.

RM2200 more than the current H-Line? Quite expensive!
*
i check the price with my SA yesterday, he said should be around that price.
and also asked whether the car will be in the showroom this coming friday, he said no memo from HQ yet. normally it will take a week for the car to arrive the showroom after they receive the memo.

the major different between SE and New H-line should be the 32bit ECU and the auto cruise, i think... beside body kit, rim, brake lights

i wonder how much the 32 bit ECU will cost... is it same as the Exora ECU?

i think you can check the oil indicator... all of the cars do have one... you need to run your engine for few minutes, then turn off engine and check the oil indicator. the oil should be in the recommended zone area, any reading not in the recommended zone means you have to do something about it.

i thought we should check the lubricant oil when the engine is cold? all this while i am checking it when it was cold in the morning. because if the engine is started, of cos it will should lower level as the oil start to stick on the other parts in the internal of engine. we need give it sometime for all the lubricant oil to drop to the base before we get the measurement. as for the automatic gear oil, i know it need to let the engine warm up first before we take the measurement. correct me if i am wrong....
*
actually is a interesting info to share on this... usually the mechanic (not proton service center) will do this way... i don't know why, seems that most of the mechanic will warm up the oil a bit then only measure hmm.gif

my persona warranty mileage only shown as 50,000km in their system.

i thought the warranty should be at least 100,000km?
*
ya, why huh? the catalog of the persona says under 5 years warranty or 175,000km which ever comes first... how come the bill says 50,000km only???
i did ask the SA last time on this issue, he said that the first 2 years is warranty under proton, and the rest of the 3 years extended is warranty under alliance insurance. And the other thing is, What is the standard service interval? The catalog says is 10,000km. is it true?

GUYS! i got somethings interesting info to share out with you all... I had done some search on this thing called MAGNETRAP that SC ask you to install when you go for service... have a look at the following link and judge yourself...

Fuel Saving Things That is not what seem to be

sweat.gif

and some of the ppl also commented the following:

In the unlikely event that an oil filter is thoroughly clogged due to the user not having it changed for a long time, say after 20-30000 km, a safety valve opens to allow the dirty oil to recycle back into the engine. The engine will still run but but it would suffer from extreme damage due to excessive particles reintroduced back into the engine. Eventually the engine will overheat and fail.

The magnetrap is meant to trap these excessive particles to stick to the inner walls of the tin can, thus being a second filter for the oil.

B U T ,

Both the pistons and the engine block, which creates the particles due to abrasion caused by the pistons vigorously rubbing up and down the bores, are made of ALUMINUM ALLOY.

A Q U E S T I O N ...

Since when aluminum can be ATTRACTED by magnets?

D O N ' T B E L I E V E?

Use a magnet and try to stick it to the engine block.

Yes, i been informed earlier, it will release on 14, but it was postpone. So no choice, have to wait.
*

today my SA just called and inform that 18th will launch and had help book a test drive on the 20th...
he also said that the facelift is only for H-Line...
that is why H-Line had been stop production in year 2009. After the stop production of the H-line, then comes the SE...
and now SE stop production, then comes the facelift of H-Line...
The SA still don't have any clue what modification had been done under the hood.
But other than that, signal light side mirror, body kit, rims, tail lights are as the spy pictures attached earlier...

hi everyone,
got some Headache question,
my loan has approve for current m line persona,
but i dint get my car yet,
than now new facelift be going to launch,
my SA told me it will cos more about 2k plus,
n someone say car loan interest will increase from 3.75% to 4% (9 years) sweat.gif
is tat i need to get a new facelift version or stay for current version? rclxub.gif
plz help me to choose...  icon_question.gif notworthy.gif
*
same case here... my loan has approve for the M line too...
as the facelift is around the corner... might as well wait for it...
ask your SA to confirm on the interest rate... getting the old rate will same you a lot in the long run...
getting which version is up to you... for me, i will wait for the new version and have a test drive first...
i don't' fancy what they had done to the outer part of the car... what i'm looking forward to is the 32bit ECU in the engine.
heard a lot of ppl complain on the FC in persona... and i do hope that 32bit ECU will rectify this and i won't mind paying the extra 2k for it, coz you will safe money in the long run...

for your info also... i will put ray tech CS85 film on my car window... i think it looks cool for the car...

Patdidi: are you sure? coz the spy pictures taken has no sport rims and no audio controls on the steering wheel...
we predicted that it is for the base line... hmm.gif

i when to see the latest persona today... and here are my personal point of view:

1. Front bumper - is better looking than the original, but when have a closer look, the quality looks cheap.
2. Rear spoiler - the original looks better
3. Side mirror with signal lights - i like it
4. Rear Brake lights - do i need to say more? everyone loves it!
5. New Sport Rim - the original looks better
6. Audio Unit - although it comes with AUX and USB, it looks cheap
7. Illuminated Meter - Like it (it is more brighter than the original)
8. 2 toned dashboard - the original is better looking...
9. Upholstery - for the B Line and M Line is WORST! yes... WORST! the fabric is so cheap!!!!
10. New Color - Bronze Garnet and Chiffon Green, both i like.
11. 32bit ECU - NO INFO whether it is installed
12. Performance - TBA
13. FC - TBA

Summary:

The New Persona "ELEGANCE" is not up to it's name... coz it is not ELEGANT at all due to the materials presented...

With the selling price RM 56k for the M-Line facelift, i would advise buying the Original H-Line, coz you will have ABS, EBD n two air bag

with the selling price near RM 60k for the H-Line facelift, i would advise buying the SE, coz you not only have full spec, but you also have a more ELEGANT looking car!

Did anybody test drive? How about the NVH of the new Elegance? Improved over our old Persona or the same?
*
just came back from the test drive both of the persona elegance and the original version. the engine for the elegance felt more smooth that the previous version - in terms of gear change and overtaking. the power is a bit more in terms of torque compared to the ori version. the sit is more comfortable on the elegance. handling is the same.

here got a lot of ppl liked the Chiffon Green... but the my SA said he got lots of order for Bronze Garnet...
actually i do like Bronze Garnet more than Chiffon Green, but i don't want to be in the waiting list that long, so i decided to book chiffon green instead.

besides the engine response is smooth and sensitive. there is also some little things that they added into the elegance claim by the SA.

1. the meter light will be on when you on the engine regardless you switch on your head lights.
2. the meter light will dim a bit when you on your head lights.
3. the cooler fan for the inter cooler will keep running until your engine temperature cools down regardless you switch off your engine.
4. the hose for IAFM is larger in diameter compared to the previous.

the sales office is in old klang road. actually it alll depends on your nego with your SA. i went to many sales office and ask for the best offer... so far this SA give me the most offer. and one thing, don't go to those proton edar sales office, normally they can't give much offer... try those proton "wakil jualan", those SA will give more and you can bargain with them...
