ATTENTION TO ALL PERSONA OWNER!

i really need to issue an urgent attention to all persona owner. You might want to check the aircond piping at the back of the engine (near the iafm module). There should be rubber joint coming from the engine and touching the aircond piping. U all might want to take alert of this. In my case, the rubber hose kept on RUBBING with the aircond pipe till the pipe were ERODED and leaking the aircond gas.

What i can suggest now is to remove that hose line off from the hook and put it down so that it wont rub with the aircond piping

guys any service center at serdang or seri kembangan?
reli need to check my alarm..naik gila d.

There are 3 sc around the seri kembangan area. One is in Serdang Raya (a.k.a Taman Putra), one in Bukit Serdang industrial area, and one in Equine Park (just opened, not sure where exactly the location)

QUOTE(ralf @ Mar 31 2010, 09:02 AM)
Obviously, i can see that it is manufacturing defect..they should do a "recall campaign" and rectified the problem.

170kmh using cruise control, we have no autobahn here..

yea sad.gif But the fact they managed to found the cause of the problem quite fast was disturbing. Seems like not the first time they saw this kind of case.....?

QUOTE(Molotov Cocktail @ Mar 31 2010, 03:52 PM)
hi there i plan to change the front brake pads for my persona, which one is recommended? bendix titanium or ferodo zero?
*
I'm using the bendix metal king titanium now. The grip is way better than a normal oem brake pads. But, these days i kind of noticed that if you always use the brake lightly for a few days, the bendix somehow became less grip. Unless u brake hard once a while during driving, make it hot, then you will get the grip level satisfaction from bendix. I think bendix metal king titanium has something what we call Operating Temperature.

Actually Persona have quite a few "rubbing" problems. This is one that i found... and yea, i see that u didnt remove the engine plastic cover... try removing it sure u can see it..

The PCV (positive crank vent) rubber hose here is rubbing against the bracket of a ermm.... electrical plug or some sort causing it to wear VERY badly. I hv insulated it to prevent more damages. SEE THE PHOTOS TAKEN BY ME BELOW.

I have noted the area u marked in the photo u hv taken. I noticed it before but then nt so sure that it is rubbing or not. Nvm I'll try to re-check again. Thanks for the advise.

So heavencloud, how much it cost u to repair / replace that aluminum aircond pipe?

no leakage found.... doh.gif ...could be gasket d..la...but never overheat before... hmm.gif

and someone in the forum posted about the iafm aircond pipe before....you must coat it with insulflex or sponge to

prevent damage on the hose.

The pipe can be claim via warranty with no charge. But it is quite weird for a warranty claim since the pipe actually not broken by default, but eroded slowly. But of course, the aircond gas you need to fill in back. The sc want to charge me around RM80 for the gas, which my dad said too expensi rclxub.gif ve

Can you share how the orifice valve will be install anything i need to mention specifically in order to get the consultant understand my concerns on the knocking sound remedy.

min speed for cruise control to work is 40kmph. max... not stated in the manual tongue.gif I tried 170kmph using cruise control on north south highway no problem. 180kmph, didn't think to try cruise control, just concentrating on the road.

Alright thanks for the info! Think those wondering about the cruise can refer to you for review.

my persona just light up the engine logo (a.k.a check engine warning) on meter there and just light up all the time. What is cause of that? Please advice.

Bravo cruise control at 170Kmph..

had 3 passengers with me. even cruising at that speed, the car felt planted and stable. can drive with confidence. i was initially driving a 140kmph, but my gf ask why drive so slow. when i told her it's already 140, she says it feels slow shocking.gif . so i was like, ok and i stepped more and settled with 170 whistling.gif
