The most important thing is that the fans blow directly at the vents nod.gif

Then is Evercool FTI NB-FT2 good? Coz it actually mount directly in front of the vent and suck the hot air out...

Is it good? Any existing user can comment?

Cannot comment because I've never use it before... but I'm quite skeptical about the cooling laugh.gif

So far my best cooling option (apart from when in air-con room), is to use my modded U2 + standing fan blowing from a horizontal (perpendicular) manner brows.gif

Because of the relatively "slim" profile of the U2, Most 120mm fans can only be placed at the back portion of the cooler pad (thus more effective for the M14x since the vents are at the back)... its not very suitable for laptops with vents at other positions (because the 120mm fans are thick, they'll cause the cooler pad to not be able to stand properly)... The U3 can be more easily modded because its larger and "taller" nod.gif
[sorry, dunno how to put it into words haha]

Here's the link to my failed U2 mod laugh.gif http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=45038222

Does Asus N55SF require cooling? If so, which cooler pad is recommended?

A standing fan would be more worth it since the individual fans are not cheap (RM20 each) laugh.gif

this design is full of flaw. from my personal experience the Evercool air output is much slower than my laptop fan output, end up its only for trapped head. waste of money
