Hi all.
I'm a newbie here.. and am suffering from GAS for the G73JH. I plan to order one from Gentechpc very very soon after reading all your good reviews on them.
I want to know, did anyone face any problem from kastam?
Thanks in advance

-EDIT-
OK I understand from the previous posts that it's depends on luck... so nevermind...

Below was some reviews on G73JH particularly about battery life comments:

1. Hothardware

2. In our battery rundown tests, the ASUS G73Jh lasted for 87 minutes. Annoyingly, this means it will conk out at the pivotal moment in most feature-length
movies. That said, it would be unfair to expect anything more from a desktop replacement model. Our advice is to use a wall outlet. [source: Good Gear Guide
from AU ]

3. LaptopMag

4. legitreviews

Hope it helps. laugh.gif

The problem with battery life lies in the power consumption of the GPU. The stock vbios doesn't down clock the GPU & Mem speeds leaving it idle at a ridiculous 700/1000mhz thus draining the battery like crazy. There is a modded vbios in NBR that lowers the speed of the clocks and increasing the battery life to 2~4 hours depending on the battery saving mode you are using. Flashing your vbios does not break your warranty however be sure to keep the stock bios just in case you need to flash back for RMA purposes. WARNING! Please note there is a risk factor in flashing the vbios and you might end up bricking your entire unit tongue.gif

Any review for the mouse that come with the laptop. If not good I'm going to ask my friend to get me razer death adder from pc fair. Or anyone suggest good mouse under RM 200. And should I get gaming keyboard or the laptop keyboard is fine. rclxub.gif

For the time being, I never heard of anyone here at LYN who use the R.O.G mouse including me : biggrin.gif

As for the mouse, I plan to get myself a Logitech G700. It looks cool . . . . Currently, I'm using Roccat Pyra Wireless mouse but not really recommend you to buy it as it is kinda small and poor battery life. doh.gif

@Jeffrey1987

74 pounds for a mouse is too expensive for me. I cant bring myself to justify the purchase. I'm very cheap person.

Hi guys, a quick question, why aren't you guys getting it from Mucro Asia ? it's only 5.6 k + for g73jh A1 including shipping ? Or am I missing something here? I even saw a guy selling for RM 6800 in another thread for the A2 model !?

My last correspondence with Mucro Asia, they said they don't have ready stock for this unit (I wanted G73JH-A1) I have to wait for sometime (maybe a week or more), but Gentech PC had this unit in stock and ready to be shipped(once payments are confirmed). Besides, with Gentech Pc, i spent total RM5583.60 (Unit cost plus Shipping and all..) so for me it's about the same. The diffrence is Mucro Asia don't have ready stock available.

I personally believe that MucroAsia offers a BAD customer service which I have experienced it last time . . . sweat.gif Ken Lee from GenTechPC is a totally different story . . . notworthy.gif
