QUOTE(Fantasia @ Apr 21 2010, 11:47 PM) u use what player to play ur video? not all player use gpu to encode video, only certain like the media player classic home cinema we're straying off topic. Seems like Local Asus haven't got any in stock?I sense price war Asus G73JH with Sager with the same spec. |

Asus G73JH is win in design wise, maybe ventilation.
But sager NP8690 offers better cooling solution with the x oz of copper for their cooling solution. Anyway, Both asus and sager did a better job compared to Alienware All Powerful M15x with gt240m(pricing rm6k) but gtx260m will cost around rm6.6k already. Added on April 22, 2010, 8:20 pm QUOTE(ineser @ Apr 22 2010, 07:24 AM) 6Gb RAM, no backpack and mouse... So slightly cheaper Not to forget that screen is not full 1080p HD. its only 1600x900. That would be allow user to play medium detail smoothly on most games under 1600x900 resolution.Added on April 22, 2010, 7:25 am I doubt there is any store in Malaysia has it I think its going to be hard for Asus Malaysia since outside malaysia is suffering from stocks shortage. Still, alienware is getting most attentions. This post has been edited by riku2replica: Apr 22 2010, 08:20 PM |

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Apr 22 2010, 08:22 PM) well, there's one thing about asus g series. The price drops really low when the graphic card hardware is outdating. Let's take 8600m GT. Most Graphic especially HD4570/HD5470 in market is on par with it now. |

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Apr 22 2010, 08:29 PM) Previously opting for this...I'd happy to get this spec however dell Malaysia can't get it though. |

QUOTE(ineser @ Apr 23 2010, 01:17 PM) If not mistaken some of the members bought from Mucro, just that their customer service is a bit not good. Not very responsive Yes, cheaper than alienware for the least. Good thing about Asus warranty compare to Sager is their international warranty which makes it valid anywhere but RMA in malaysia will be a long wait for Malaysia asus to order the parts to arrive in our land.Added on April 23, 2010, 1:20 pm Yeah, Sager is more expensive but hey at least cheaper than Alienware right? QUOTE(Fantasia @ Apr 23 2010, 05:07 PM) i think good about sager is that u can upgrade the processor and graphic card urself(if u can find 1) without worry about warranty being voided this is y some says that sager notebook very hard to get outdated laptop hardware such as CPU and GPU is expensive. Go calculate how much before u splatter nonsense. |

Anyway, Asus Releasing G73JW/G73JW 3D soon. It's probably based on Nvidia GPU this time.

Anyway, for those who wanted to get the A1 batch laptop in melbourne. Well, there's one store i confirmed they're having stock but they're selling at Aus$ 2443 which is rather expensive if u convert it to myr. Getting it from US is way cheaper.
My suggestion for now, wait for g53 release. LoL. This post has been edited by riku2replica: Jun 18 2010, 01:25 AM |
