I've just completed my order for my Asus G73JH-A1 with GenTech PC. Ken Lee was really helpful when I called him. I will keep you all posted on their service & the moment my laptop arrives. Here is some useful information for would be future buyers:

1.) Payment is not difficult for Wire Transfer through our local banks. You don't even need an account with the bank. Go to the customer service counter, let them know you want to wire transfer/TT to US and they will give you a form to fill up.

2.) I did my payment through Maybank and I do not have a personal account there.

3.) Maybank service charge is RM 25 on top of the amount you will be sending. Gentech will add USD 30 to your total for their bank fees in the US. Maybank has the cheapest service charge compared to three other banks in my area. (Hong Leong, CIMB & Public Bank). CIMB has the worst TT rates.

4.) I got a surprise free gift from Maybank for using their services. To be honest I did not expect anything after the transaction. Must be my lucky day

LOL! Can't really make up your mind on which to keep? If size is going to be an issue and budget is not a problem, you could probably upgrade the M15x further to outpace the G73JH. Then you will get the exact laptop to fit your requirements

I not too sure. I wired transferred on Friday before noon so it should reflect on their account on Monday. I called Ken yesterday and he is telling me it would show in their accounts on Tuesday and will ship on the same day once payment is confirmed. I'm hoping it will show on Monday and will be ship on the first day of the week

You seem to know Ken quite well, you worked out a deal with him? LOL!

I might rip out one of the 500GB Seagate Momentus drive and stick it into an external CM casing & replacing my main drive with an Intel 80GB SSD drive. Not sure yet, need to wait for the laptop to come before I make the decision

LOL! I bought an XCraft CM External Casing for my friend's birthday sometime back. Unfortunately XCraft have IDE versions from our local distributors only. I haven't checked with Ban Leong yet but will do later. I can only get the Xport251 at the moment.

Same here bro, I just pop 5.8K ++ on a laptop. The SSD upgrade will be sometime end on the year or next. I think I will wait for a significant price drop before I purchase one. However that landing pad is a 100% go & I will get it on Monday or Tuesday if I have the time. Will post some pics when I do get it

I read in notebookreview forums that hybrid is not really worth it. I totally forgot the SSDs are from Intel and I have an Uncle who works for Intel

I will call him tomorrow and check on staff pricing Usually around 40-50 % discount for staff from dealers price

LMAO! Let me know when you are back and maybe we can set something up. Did you move permanently to Germany or you will be back after your studies? Any other suggestions for accessories to use with our stealth bombers?

OMG, that is a lot of stuff! No wonder you are broke man, LMAO! I think I will sell of the mouse that came with it and go for the Razer wireless versions if I can find it down here in Malaysia. Yeah I noticed your signature and check for the web for your items and they are not cheap! Must have cost you a fortune just for the accessories alone. I'm not an avid gamer, more of a casual when I have no work or bored to my skull period then I will game. Based on that I will only change the mouse and get a proper gaming mouse pad. Congratulations! I'm hoping mine clears customs like yours did How long did it take to clear customs as I bet you were tracking it daily?

Edit: Never mind, just saw the time stamp on the tracking system. Thanks, takes a few hours. If it is stuck I guess it will say something like Into Foreign Customs.

Don't plan in getting a headset yet as I don't game online & it's a colossal waste of funds at the moment. If I were to go with a complete Razer set, the headset alone would set me back around RM 500++ and I could think of better upgrades for my baby with that amount of moolah, can anyone say SSD

Nah, it didn't cost me that much as I had some insider trading (if you know what I mean ) and got it cheaper than what you would pay at retail

Added on June 29, 2010, 7:14 amI just called Ken and everything is in order. My Stealth Bomber will take off tomorrow and hopefully arrive here by end of this week or early next week. There seems to be some problem with the banks and I have either overpaid by USD 10 or I'm short of paying them USD 20. Anyway, Ken Lee says everything is okay and I should get my shipping confirmation & tracking number by tomorrow

Two working days for me through Maybank. I banked in on Friday before noon and the funds was received in the USA on Monday afternoon. It really depends on the bank you use but if it is above 5 working days I would call your bank and check. If your bank says the funds has been sent and received, you might have to call the receiving bank to check on the status. PM me if you need more help.
