Tax = RM0
Delivery Fee (USPS) = 149 USD
Notebook + Backpack + R.O.G Mouse = 1549 USD (Default unit)

Total = 1698 USD = RM? (Depends on the current currency exchange)

Maybe you can try to mention my name = Jeffrey1987 when you want to order from Ken Lee.  brows.gif

You can reach him at this e-mail add = ken@gentechpc.com

Ask us if you have any inquiries.  biggrin.gif
*
Add another USD 30 for wire transfer fee on Gentech's side and RM 25-50 (depends on bank) for Malaysian side. Factored in the 3% discount yet? hmm.gif tongue.gif

Oh, mention my name too, Mark Lee brows.gif

Why are you so frustrated dude?

Rumors are they will be a new release for ATI Catalyst drivers v10.7 this coming Wednesday on the 21st, here's hoping it will resolve most of the video issues rclxm9.gif

Added on July 19, 2010, 6:34 pm@devkamal: How are you in contact with Ken Lee? Email or by phone? If you are in contact by phone then there's nothing much I can do. However if you are in contact by email I will call him and sort it out as it is much easier and faster.

I just spoke to Ken on the phone and everything is in order on their side. They want to ship to you but they can't unless they can trace the wire transfer in their accounts. Ken also informed me you gave the wrong shipping address and you asked him to correct it, LMAO! You need to check with Maybank and find out what is wrong with your transfer. However he informed me if nothing else goes wrong they should receive the funds today. They usually will ship the unit on the next working day once they can confirm your funds has cleared. Let me know if you have any updates from Maybank and I can inform Ken ASAP. Hopefully we can resolve this soon and get your unit shipped by this week biggrin.gif

PS: Please triple, quadruple & etc. check your order making sure everything is correct. Your shipping address is the most important and if that is wrong you would have wasted the postage charges and your G73JH would have gotten a free tour of Malaysia before heading back to the states tongue.gif

My method of payment will be most likely credit card or ask relative buy in states and bring it back. Wire transfer sounds troublesome to me. doh.gif
*
You will not get the 3% discount if you use credit card. The discount is about USD 50. My transfer cleared within 2 business days wink.gif

QUOTE(viruz019 @ Jul 21 2010, 01:30 AM)
want to ask..

the G73..for a 17" is it heavy? or does it feel more like a 15"?
*
No way it weights like a 15". It's heavy and if you have a small frame a fully loaded backpack with accessories will literally kill you tongue.gif

You will never know how much ASUS is releasing the units to the distributors. There are several down here in Malaysia but the most notable is Servex & Build Tech. ASUS could be selling these units to these distributors at the same cost or lower than the price we imported most likely the latter. However the distributors are the one that sets the retail price in Malaysia.

I think both companies sets the price under a market study and agreement. Why sell at a lower price when your competitor is offering lower specifications and is selling at nearly the 8K~10K range? In the end my previous statement hits it on the nail:

Lack of knowledge and the drive of human greed tongue.gif

Is the R.O.G mouse for sale seperately or its a bundle exclusive?
*
You should get the mouse with the A1 & A2 bundles. There is also another bundle with the mouse, forgot the set name but it also comes with a headset. Didn't yours come with it? If not I want to sell mine off and you can check my signature wink.gif

i have 1 problem, after installed, i driver and catalyst wont show up, check with device manager say using old driver dated 2009....aiyaaa

Download the following programs:

CCleaner & Driver Sweeper

Follow the following steps:

1. Run the ATI Catalyst installer and use it to uninstall your current drivers. Make sure you do a custom un-install and select everything.

2. Reboot and enter safemode. Run Driver Sweeper, select ATI then analyze. If any ATI drivers is listed, run clean.

3.) Run CCleaner and do a registry scan. Remove any broken registry links. Do a registry backup just to be safe and run CCleaner several times until there are no more broken links. Reboot your laptop and start windows normally.

4.) Your screen should look really shitty now on low resolution after rebooting. Log into windows and run the install. Install the drivers as per usual and reboot. After rebooting check your driver version and you should have a clean install of the 10.7 catalyst drivers wink.gif biggrin.gif

You will do well in your exams, just concentrate bro wink.gif

Not that great because I was multitasking at the time and I was rushing to reply that, LMAO!

Here are the links to the software needed:

CClener

Driver Sweeper

I haven't got the time to fully test the new drivers out but I already see significant performance improvements in some of the games I am playing. I will test Star Craft 2 in 12 hours time and post back my findings here icon_idea.gif

Hello guys, I just put myself in a difficult situation here as my newly bought cleaning compound - CyberClean was stuck inside the speaker grill when I tried to clean it up. Darn . . .  mad.gif
Is that some gel like compound? Sorry to see that. The only way I can think of removing that is to disassemble the unit and try to clean the speaker section. You need the proper tools, the PDF version of the G73JH disassembly guide, the video below and heck a lot of guts to attempt this tongue.gif

Use the PDF to give you an overview on what to expect but do not follow it as the guide does not show you all the information and you might break some clips along the way. The video from BTO Tech is much better and guides you properly to disassemble your unit. I would use both resources if I were to attempt to disassemble my unit.

I lost the link to the PDF file but you can view it here:

NBR G73JH Disassembly Guide

The video from BtoTech:

PM me if you want the offline PDF file and I will mail it to you wink.gif

Hello everyone, i plan to buy ROG G73JH-A2 from GenTech Computers but sadly they don't have any stock of that laptop at this moment. I don't know how long to wait. Another way to get this machine fast is customize the A1 into 'no blue ray' and it save me $96. Is it ok to let GenTech technician to 'operate' the machine by exchange the blue ray drive with DVD DL Drive or I place the pre-order A2 first and wait?
*
One LYN member (satchi) received an A1 unit but he ordered an A2. They replaced the drive lens from the Blu-Ray to the standard DVD. You will see the Blu-Ray logo on the bezel because they will not remove the entire drive unit just to perform the replacement. If you need more information you can PM the mentioned LYN member wink.gif
