is it just me or is anyone else getting highly inconsistent download speeds (p2p / torrent etc) for the last 2-3 days.. from a blistering 3 mb/s to a tortoise like 250kb/s.. back & forth all day long..

QUOTE(sheep @ Mar 22 2010, 10:34 AM) My network card is only a b/g card. So I didn't bother. Not like the broadband speed is more than 54 Mbps anyways. QUOTE(Demonic Wrath @ Mar 22 2010, 10:34 AM) The TM version has some stuff I'm not sure what it's for. It also uses custom TM software. I saw lotsa complaints about the router after googling and some of them mentioned switching to 1 mode only. So that's why I thought I'd try that too.QUOTE(jackanory @ Mar 22 2010, 11:44 AM) Good to hear it actually worked for someone else. Things are looking good for me now. QUOTE(siukeong7888 @ Mar 22 2010, 11:19 PM) That's what I meant. You have nothing to contribute here other than say "oh, it's TM! It must be shit". It doesn't matter if the facts are wrong.New? I've been their user since 98. |

QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Mar 22 2010, 10:43 PM) My network card is only a b/g card. So I didn't bother. Not like the broadband speed is more than 54 Mbps anyways. 11g 54Mbps is full duplex total speed. We are getting a theoretical Maximum of 27Mbps each way on 11g, not accounting other factors.I tested the 11g in my hometown where there is very little interference from neighbours and 1 reached 22Mbps for file transfer within the LAN, 7M from the router with 2 walls. In the congested residential area where i study/live, I could scan many wifi routers around, I managed to reach 14Mbps being 4M from the router. Another test behind 1 wall and about 6Meters from the router upstairs yielded less than 10Mbps. I'm sure 11n comes in handy if you want to 'utilize' your HSBB This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Mar 22 2010, 11:40 PM |
