IMO, i do think that Alien Guise will screw up alot of windows component. Do read bout reviews and comments bout the theme manager before proceeding with the installation. lol. i tested AlienGuise on my old HP pavilion, and there are plenty of windows apps that can't run with alien guise. haha. really Alien.

so did you download any new themes and use them Screemo?

they have new one? i doubt that those theme will be perfect. unless Alienware have their own OS. haha.

Yea cos the previous owner had some corrupted files and viruses.
So I did a clean install lor.
Then wallpaper and themes all gone...

Looks like that "call for help" for photo/video editing apps is not necessary after all. Photobucket takes em all with simple edits, and Youtube now accepts HD videos, even raw Blu-ray .M2TS files. Just need a fast line to upload it all.

For anyone's info, the M11X OCed to 1.6GHz plays 1080p raw .M2TS files just fine. Had my trip videos transferred to the M11X and it plays those like a champ!

yo too much respect yo. haha. i'm just a multimedia student. writing an OS is almost, no, surely an impossible task for me! nah... windows is alright. lol

no problem about the CPU. even some of the some party said its too weak for gaming, this lil' baby still pawning most of the games thrown at them.

and if you read above post from Stringfellow or outside reviews, it can handle video editing and photo editing with no problem

to me, i think the cpu is decent enough already, provided you don run many many crazy programs at one time.

i was once a person who defrags+running antivirus in the same time when i use s57b. but m11x's cpu cant really handle too many heavy programs.
for gaming, it is indubitably weaker than other cpus like i5 i7. that is true for games like bfbc2 and nba2k10 that eats up cpu as well.

but for games that mainly eats up gpu, sure no problem.
screen is small, but can always connect to external monitor, like me

Hey I was in Universal Studios Singapore too..haha...too bad the tickets were already sold out..din manage to go inside..lol...went to sim lim square and felt the m11x for the first time...very nice and light..haha...and also tried carrying the m17x...lol definately non portable..weighs a tonne!


Gonna get my Orion soon...lol...but still no alienware to fill it...lol...saw the Asus G51J 3D laptop at sim lim singapore..dun think its available in Malaysia though...looks cool.. and they even pop in the nvidia 3d vision kit with it...sigh dunno which to choose...alienware or Asus.... guys how? give ur opinions please...

i wil got for alienware cuz i like the design. to me, i will put design and bran first, spec wise next.. hehehehe.. thats my bias answer =D

haha...well, at least u are honest....i like alienware cos of the brand and the outlook design of the cover and the backlighted keypads too and the cooling in alienware is supposedly very good...but thats it..the plastic stuff around alienware laptops beside the keys are very plain..lol..its heavy too...outlook is important but i think specs are important too...and im really looking forward for a 3D screen capable alienware...when that happens, it will definately be an alienware for me..haha...but for now asus looks pretty damn slick with the 3D function...
