QUOTE(cy-yang @ Feb 24 2010, 01:39 PM) QUOTE(wilsonjay @ Feb 24 2010, 02:10 PM) I agree. I got my unit within 10days and from day 1 I encountered issues... but it has been rectified... QUOTE(Azurika @ Feb 24 2010, 02:26 PM) if is d same like the m17x , remove the back lid , only 3screws , then u c a silver plate , unscrew those 2 screws and that would be ur ram slot d Replace due to what issues bro? Sorry but I have been absent of late. I was wondering about adding some copper plating into my M15x as well. But I have yet to read extensively into this.... eh monkey , i didnt know r1 chasis can fit r2 mobo ... the heatsink for ur i7 proc is diff rite ? tat might change d heatflow @@ cuz ive already opened up my whole m17x and i can say , the inside is damn compact =.= no extra space even if i wanted add in copper platting on my end , dell is agreed to replace mine with an r2 if there are still problems with my lappy when its back ... = = |

QUOTE(Azurika @ Feb 24 2010, 05:09 PM) afew sttuff la .. hmm i dun think ur m15x needs that extra copper platings , ur having high tempreture when gaming ? cuz my frens m15x nv went pass 68' ... Im getting 78' on most heavy games in a non air con room. Ur structure is different from the m17x , if not wrong , ur gpu can be access from opening the laptop behind ... very easily removed nia ... we m17x have to open our front ... the keyboard part to remove our gpu = = super big hassle if wanna do cleaning ... zzzz Owh....Me M15x gets pretty hot when running games like Batman Arkham asylum, RE5, Crysis.... It goes as high as the mid 80s celcius in a non aircon room. Cooling pad reduces the temp to a max of 82 celcius.... thats why I wanted to add... Yes, M15x has just one cover at the back that can be removed to reveal the GPU |

Hey Doc,
Got your stuff. Thanks ya... Much appreciated. Anyway, I havent used my beast for a week. Such a bad owner. No time so the beast is tucked away in the cupboard together with my DSLR. What have I been doing? OMG.....!!!! Time to take them out this weekend. Hope to try ME2 and Saboteur. Anyone here played Saboteur yet? |

QUOTE(RO Player @ Feb 27 2010, 12:16 AM) Just look at the Graphic card. Its just a GT 240M 512MB. We roll on a Minimum of a GTX 260M 1GB on the M15x.... As for Colour, I think ALL BLACK really brings out the Alien in the BEAST. But I went for RED cos of its flashyness. Eat that MAC! This post has been edited by julchin_09: Feb 27 2010, 05:42 PM |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Mar 5 2010, 10:01 AM) The SFIV edition of those Hori fightpads are reported to have broken diagonals, so Shoryukens and Supers relying on those moves are a toughie. The best I've read are the USB Sega Saturn pads, but finding those are like finding buried treasure. Hmm... I've been using the XBOX 360 Wired controller for SF4 and had gotten used to it. I have unlocked all hidden players already and am going thru the training mode now to unlock more stuff upon completion. I agree that you'll experience some sore thumbs.... but it takes some getting used to.... |

QUOTE(trogdor1oh1 @ Mar 7 2010, 11:06 PM) First week gone by, week number 2 of waiting for my All Powerful M15x to arrive What are the specs you got for your M15x bro? I got the XBox controller as well and am loving the ergonomics of it. But I use it to play street Fighter primarily though I got a Razer Deathadder, and I decided to skip getting a mousepad(was eye-ing the Razer Goliathus) because I already have a large mousepad I got from The Orange Box, which imo is pretty dang good. I also got an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows, primarily because I want the dongle to play Guitar Hero with my Xbox controller. Also I guess it's nice to have a controller to use when I take the computer to college As for the headset, I'm probably gonna pick up the Microsoft LifeChat sometime iono lol. How was the gathering yesterday? |

QUOTE(trogdor1oh1 @ Mar 7 2010, 11:36 PM) I got the one with the vanilla i7 CPU and the GTX260M. No customizations or anything, dad thought it was expensive enough =\ So you stuck to the 720m proc and 4gb ram?For Street Fighter I might pick up the MadCatz Fightpad or something which has a better d-pad. I played SF4 on my Xbox controller on the Xbox and I just totally failed in comparison to the stick or even the PS2 with the Dual Shock I couldn't go to the gathering because I was at a friend's birthday party today. I HAVE A LIFE I have a life too |

AA is supposed to decrease your framerate and NOT increase it. Thats weird really.... I hope there's nothing wrong with settings.

QUOTE(cy-yang @ Mar 18 2010, 06:20 PM) Thats why.. is suppose to decrease but why??? Consult with Docter. He's using the M17x and got a similar FPS count for SF4 like yours at 59.xx fps at MAX settings and his Processor is higher than yours. He's done benchmarks for other games too so he's your go to guy.... i set all the setting highest and the highest resolution too.. so? I don't understand.. is weird.. |

I remembered a while back someone asked info regarding a suitable notebook sleeve for the ALIENWARE M15x? Well I got this yesterday and it fits perfectly even with the extra large 9cell battery... Cost about RM80 from CASE LOGIC. Its written as 15.4" Reversible on the outside but it DOES FIT our 15.6" Monster....
