just wanna share this website

www.canyourunit.com

it checks your system , and give the results whether you rigs can handle that particular game or not.

and it says i have 2.2mb vram. is that even possible on a M17?

i knew this site since 3, 2 years ago if i am not mistaken, linked from Gamespy.com but already forgot till you mention it back. thanks! laugh.gif

but still, the result may vary from real-life gaming experience since it does not evaluate optimization on certain game's engine too. it based solely on hardwares.

hm what is your GPU? 9800GT?

ati 3870 in crossfire.

agree with u, the result is solely from the min and recommended requirements . But it's still a good place to start.

why don't you upgrade to 4870 CF? 100% increment of gaming performance yo! laugh.gif

about shared memory, try to check in dxdiag. usually it will mention there. what's wrong with it actually?

Yup, that is the same overobsessiveness that I have myself. I'd mull and gripe and think about it, until I either fix it, or most of the time, made it even worse! laugh.gif Learnt my lesson though, I now just let it be.

even if you have 3 years complete cover, it doesn't mean that you can care-less of your rig wink.gif

yep, luck is out of our hand. but take a best care of something within our hand smile.gif

Because of the Alienware lightup letters on the front screen, it made it looks like the screen is 4:3 instead of its original 16:9 size. It is slightly taller than it should because of that.
