should i go for the alienware sold at lowyat? they are priced at 4299, but after I said Dell website only sell at 3999, they say theirs comes with ext dvd. I have 2 ext dvd at home already

they are willing to sell to me for 3999 if i dont want the ext dvd.

i know ext dvd doesnt reach 299.

dude, it can play Mass Effect 2 on high setting. I think it surely can handle Photoshop and AutoCAD.

cannot tahan the urge, so max up my credit card to get this baby (my funds are coming later this month, but waiting for later + delivery time seems like FOREVER!)

For those who are using M11X, whats your choice of imaging software to play games? ive installed dragon age (original of course) and tried Daemon Tool (to play without discs), but McAffee is convince its a virus and keep deleting it. -.-

Maybe i should uninstall it and use Avira instead.

it already came with an antivirus, mcaffee for a whole one year.

There seems to be a problem with M11X and my Calypso bluetooth headset. The bluetooth will turn itself off and have to reboot and remove the headset to on it back.

my eee-pcs (i have 2) doesnt have problems with this headset.

btw, i also used bluetooth mouse.

if you use cimb, you can call them for 3% interest installment plan if im not mistaken, for any purchase above 1k.

ext DVD drive are not that expensive. I have 2 since I also have 2 Eee PCs before I bought my Alien.

Anyone tested Oblivion on m11x yet? I cant find my cds, but it would be nice if theres someone who already tested it and share the experience.

Evernew sells M11X at 4200. If you know how to pressure them by saying you know Dell's online prices and shit, and saying you dont want free gifts, you can get cheaper price like me.

I got mine at 4k. I could get cheaper, but I asked them to absorb the 2% interest they usually charged for their credit card users.

Its enough for the games I played. So far its Dragon Age, Sims 3 and some PSX and GBA games on emulators. Thinking of adding Oblivion if I can find the DVD.

Ive run Photoshop CS3 on it. Its decent. Those adding rendering effects could take a while, but for normal usage? Its doing okay. But for those who really wants a simple, quick and lite photo editing solution, why not try Photoscape? Its FREE! I've used it for many months now, sometimes, even when doing stuffs for work!

Photoscape is AWESOME. Its on all my 2 EeePCs, Desktop and my Alienbabe. If they make one for mobile, I would love to install it on my phone. Hehehe

Asus gets my vote too.

But, if you want to compare M11X with other laptops, of course it will lose.
But amongst most 12" netbooks, M11X is a GOD. hehe

M11X is special because its portable gaming. the keyword is portable.

Mine is just a basic bluetooth mouse by logitech I used to pair with my EeePC T91. Sadly its white.

No its not. I have a few Asus netbooks and their service are pretty damn great. I even had one on the spot keypad exchange during a warranty claim.

From what I gather:

Online: seems cheaper, more customizations/upgrades, but long waiting period.

Retail: slightly more expensive, few customizations (only rams?), get on the spot, "free gifts".
