However if it's anything from PSN, Game Demos or something then yes you can download in the background. It's very noticeable which ones you can background download and which ones you can't.

However, bear in mind that the PS3 has a system implemented where you play online games, for example Fat Princess or WKC, your downloads in the background will be automatically set into Pending and will only resume when you're not in Online mode in the game.

I have a Playstation 3 Fat Version, i would like to know anyone know bout this machine detail,

CECHG06

as far as i know this is a SG unit and can i play online game through malaysia line and can i update the ver. of the set? Other owner have a same ver. let me know things that i shud know.

yes, no problem with everything, except the warranty, if your PS3 spoiled then you need to send back to SG for official warranty

Mine also slim SG set. I get it last week. Updated to 3.21. So there should b no problem. But, warrant only can get in SG.

Btw, I get a free RM5 coupon upon register my PS3? Is it this coupon to use in PS store? Jz wonder RM 5 can buy anything? hehe

So nice that you got $5. I only got SGD$2 upon registering my PSN and redeem the gift. It cant get you anything to be honest. I also updated to 3.21 and so far so good. Works as normal.

You might need to go back to Sony to replace the battery. It is user removable and they teach you how to remove it in the PS3's manual, however the battery isn't some normal AA or AAA battery you find in Hypermarkets or something. And please don't trust third party batteries. You might not know what will happen the next thing you turn on the controller.

They do not replace old batteries.

They teach you how to remove batteries so you can remove them before throwing the controller as you shouldn't throw batteries with your regular trash.

hi guys,
i just bought my ps3 slim a month ago. the thing is even though i played it for hours the fan just keep spinning at normal speed. is it normal?
