I just realised there is a range of HDMI cables that exist in the market. Some cost of up RM250(Monster) and some are bundled together with the PS3 set. For a TV like the above topic, would the bundled HDMI cable suffice? I'm talking about those Games shop giving it out as "free accessories".
How much would the a HDMI cable cost normally that is good for my TV?

I want to ask as recently I just bought a new tv, Sharp LC42A77M. I already set the setting to 1080p in my PS3 and recently sometime it happened is when i playing the game, it will go blank screen for a while 3-4 sec then the picture come back. Is like refreshing.
Is this the cable problem as it like unable to detect for that moment.
Thanks.

True... yr TV is only 720p, so using a cheapo Carrefour branded HDMI works fine....
My cheapo DVD is connected via cheapo HDMI (from Carrefour) to my AMP then a not-so-cheapo HDMI to TV. Works fine...., same as my PS3 + X360 via HDMI to my amp too.... no diff...
I hv tried cheapo HDMI vs not-so-cheapo HDMI directly to my 42" fullHD, no noticeable diff (from my regular sitting distance of 9FT).
So, if budget allows (means u hv really deep pockets), get the Monster. Else, even the Carrefour works fine for your 720p set.
Cheapo (Carrefour, ayam branded) HDMI RM30++, mid ranged (AV branded like Pioneer, Sony, etc) RM100-150, high end (Monster, etc) from RM200-500. U decide...
Hope this helps.

K guys, thanks for your advice. I was worried if I have to spend another RM250 just for best graphics.

conclusion/summary
hdmi = digital signal. There's no loss in digital signal strength over cables, so all cables perform the same. Some cables are more expensive than others because they give u gold plated cables which supposedly "last forever". You don't need gold plated unless u have serious rat problems.

Get any cheap HDMI cable you can come across. Just remember to check the build quality first. Don't get sucked into the marketing gimmick regarding Monster Cables and their overpriced products.
All of the cables come from the same country anyway - China. Gold Plated connectors won't do a jack when it comes to Digital cables like HDMI/DVI.
Unless you're paying a premium to get the latest cables (HDMI 1.4a) or you're planning to drag the cable over 30 meters or more, it's not a good idea to spend few hundred on the cable.

LOL
