By tomorrow going to have a million 'How to connect PS3 to monitor' threads

I'm still quite very confuse on how the PSN thingy works.

The situation is like this.
1. I bought a SF4 R2, so I bought UK PSN card.
2. I spent half of it for SF4 DLC, so eventually I got some points left.
3. Now I got LBP R3, can I use the remaining point to download LBP DLC to use on my R3 LBP?

is it ok to leave the power on, but off the ps3?

Eg. swtich On power, but didnt switch on Astro.

That means the light is red light.

Will it affect ps3?

i lazy go behind tv to off the switch

Wanna ask when using a Y-Splitter does it affect the sound quality?

i not sure whether this is a right place to post. 

right now, i still can using my ps3 to online, but unable to login to psn, not even can browse the asia.playstation.com.
i use my pc to browse also having the same problem.
anyone having this problem also?

What's with the 'multi region' and 'only region 1' consoles you can get at Lowyat?

Hope they change the outlook of the motion controler... it really remind me of Japanese favorite vibration stick used in AV show.

Jokes aside, the capability is really huge, it captures the 3-axis of the controller (orientation) as well as its position. For Wii it is only motion, am i correct?

At the mid of the video it was shown to be used as sword and slash away in the game. Pretty cool.

hdmi = digital signal.
There's no loss in digital signal strength over cables,
so all cables perform the same. Some cables are more expensive than
others because they give u gold plated cables which supposedly "last forever". You don't need gold plated unless u have serious rat problems.

I just bought a HDMI>DVI cable today and a 3.5mm jack to RF cable, hoping to be able to plug both my P2350 LCD and my Altec Lansing speaker to my PS3. However, the 3.5mm jack to RF cable is a wrong one (inub). So I need something that looks like . Anyone have any idea whereabout in Lowyat plaza hv this or anyone on LYN that sells this?

Q1.I'm using Dell S2209W, and planning to get myself a PS3. Since S2209W doesn't have HDMI, I would need to use the HDMI->DVI method. But I'm not sure which of the following options to choose. Please 
Q2. Since Dell S2209W doesn't have audio in/out, I need to use the AV cable method.

Go into Display Settings and uncheck 720P and 1080i. Let's see whether your display manages to get 1080P or not but still it'll still be upscaled from the PS3.

Hmm for some info i saw on web, in fact those game dev not fully utilise the PS3 GPU yet
PS3 have 2 GPU but now all the games only running on one. So tis make the another GPU like useless.

does ps3 can play games online in malaysia, via streamyx or other broadband ??

i just bought a full hd tv..before this i played ps3 using the yellow video cable (component/composite; not sure)..so when i changed to hdmi cable, it wont detect any changes..the screen just blank for a long time..ive tried to switch it off and on but the problem still there..anyone can help?

Erh so the mystery of the 1TB HDD SATA for ps3, any confirmation on this?
I checked through garage sales under memory drives, they have like a million type off HDD for sale there. thats why im looking for some opinions here.

I'm not sure whether PS3 can support 1TB HDD/12.5mm HDD or not, but i can confirm that most of the 1TB 2.5" HDD have the height of 12.5mm which is not the standard height of 9.5mm. Toshiba recently launch their 1TB 2.5" HDD with 9.5mm height, i think soon other brand like WD will follow.

dont think its cable problem..coz at first, it detect the cable..but when the system try to process the change of input, i turn off my ps3 coz i thought it hang/no response..
