1. Thanks, I know the warranty would be the issue here. Check out the Sony Center just now and saw 250GB for RM1399. But I am a bit skeptical as the Singapore set one is RM1180 for 320GB. Does the PS3 always give problem once you buy them?

Oh, can easily change the internal HDD is it? Did some Googling and found most people upgrade up to 500GB but some are having problem because of the firmware. Plan to upgrade to 1TB if possible. thumbup.gif

As for online, don't really play online as my pc is connected to my modem. And besides, plan to play it only during weekends as weekdays too tired after work (or during holidays). Perhaps to download the PS3 'games'. whistling.gif

As for the LCD monitor, I guess I'm getting the 23' type as the 27' is a bit to pricey for now. I guess as long as it LED and got the HDMI port on it, it should be able to display full HD 1080p right? smile.gif Thanks for the advise.

yo, currently im using 32'' lcd. but this tv dont have HDMI port, only have DVI port. thinking to get DVI to HDMI converter. if use HDMI cable, can give more nice graphic ha ? thanks yo

earlier ps3 phat model have 4 USB ports...

Later model of ps3s have only two USB ports, yes, its possible to use those USB hubs.

i use one as well...

yes...the worst part is it's stated SONY at the DS3 and used same packing as the original one

Buy them from trusted sellers or directly from SonyStyle itself.
There are some ways to tel apart a fake and an original DS3, but unlike back in the PS1 and PS2 days... the build quality of fake DS3s are actually, good.

As for battery degreadation, nothing you can do about it.
Lithium-ion batts will lose its charge after years of usage, but by the time it drop to lasting 10 hours or less per-charge (this whould take 4 or even 5 years), it should already be time you get a new DS3.

Usually those that are Full HD 1080p will state so on the box / sticker on the monitor . ( advertisement thing, ) Those that are HD ready 720p will also state there.

So, as long as u see the word Full HD ,ur good to go tongue.gif

Yes, i've saw quite alot of imitation and original DS3.

Funny thing is, fake DS3 costs about 10-20 ringgit less. ( not much for a poor quality build ), so get original!

Differences are as below :

Fake DS3 has slightly taller buttons ( protruding upwards , very noticeable )
Fake DS3 has cheap plastic build ( Not as smooth as the Original DS3 , rough edges at the joints )
Fake DS3 have more colors ( Not the original White Black Silver Blue Red ) , eg : gold .
There is a screw under the sticker behind the DS3.

These are the common differences to look out for.

Though , performance wise no difference at all tongue.gif

it's still hard to differentiate unless we open the seal packaging..so better get it from reliable seller here or sony style
