somehow i got a feeling FA won't let Fabregas get away wif that coz it's too clearly from the replay... he purposely raised his hand/arm to block the shot which looks very likely to curl into the top corner of the goal... it might just went in IF Fabregas did not blocked it...

Damn...I overslept and can only watch the highlight
It's not ez to play top 4 teams in 3 successive weeks but the hell is past us. We don't havta face them anymore & they still gonna face each other. Like AW said after the match, they'll sure to drop points here & there and it down to us to find the consistency for the remaining games. Keep the faith.. |

I was infront the TV, but somehow missed the controversy of Fab on the free kick. Selective vision probably.
The rule left some room for interpretation, ball hit arm or arm hit ball. Hand in legit position or not legit. But jumping without raising arm ain't efficient right? And jumping to block ball with face is dumb to the fullest without arm protecting the fragile nose. |

The captain really shouldn't do that, it could be second yellow and a red and he'll be out for few next games. But it all started with Walcott giving away the ball at the other end. The team really should drill this kind of thing into their head. Anyway at the end of the day the team deserved their 3 points.

Again, lady luck is with us...not only liverpool game, but also to man utd n chelsea. Very weird. Its not the first time arsenal won while the other big teams won in the same night.

I don't think Cesc is to blame. He is trying to block his face, it's gerrard's shot after all. He is known to bang some hard ball into goals from as far as 40 yards. Any human will be scared if such a power were to hit the face.
Diaby's goal was a mixture of : pin point cross from Rosicky + Great positioning by Diaby + defender errors by the Liverpool. |

Agree nonetheless , Diaby is the man that I really want to see on the pitch nowadays . Not because of his goal , but he really did well in the midfield . Winning balls and passing well .
Aside Diaby's goal , I still think there are many occasions where we should have scored . 1. Arshavin's sitters . 2. Bendter's chance , however he was marked tightly . 3. Rosicky' chance , but spoiled by bad footing . It looks like he was payed by Liverpool . At least he redeemed himself after that . Added on February 11, 2010, 2:13 pmOn addition , if Arshavin really play by bearing an injury , pity him . He worked really , really hard . This guy is awesome . I don't know but to be fair, Fab might deserved a foul/card (not sure about penalty though). He seems like not blocking his face as Diaby's goal was a mixture of : pin point cross from Rosicky + Great positioning by Diaby + defender errors by the Liverpool. 1) He raised his hand before Gerrard kicked the ball 2) and he raised it above his head |

His hand was on top of his head la. & to raise Ur hand during a freekick (if Ur in the wall) is not in any teams defensive manual, I can assure U tht. Even when U defend a live ball in a penalty box also U shudn't raise Ur hand.I'm not trying to put any blame on Fabregas here. Just that, we were very, very lucky in that sense this morning. Just think of wht would happen if Howard Webb gave them a freekick just at the edge of the box, or red-carded Fabregas for deliberate handball (he was already on a yellow), or worse.. penalty. Haih.... |

Good and important win. Best news of the day for me after an annoying shift at work.
Football is unpredictable. Everton and Villa did us huge favours, this shows that no team can take their position for granted. For those who kept faith in the team despite the previous 2 losses, this victory couldn't be any more sweet. For those who lost their faith in the team, well wake up and support the team. For those who hoped for us to lose just so they can prove themselves right, here's one up yours. |
